Hello all!!

It has been a long time since I have been on Cruise Critic..mostly because I have not been on a cruise in over 2 years and because life in general. So, I have decided to get back into the swing of things by booking a cruise on the Getaway for December 2015.

I can't wait. Of course it is over 300 days away but it does give me something to look forward to for next winter.

I felt, since Norwegian was my first ever cruise..it was fitting to book with them upon my return to the cruise life.

this review has me sold on my cruise for next year. Carnival Freedom itinerary...

I had been going back and forth between it and another cruise but your review has helped my decision...

Going to the Bahamas in November. This will make my 2nd cruise to the Bahamas.

My first cruise I got off the ship in Nassau but decided to stay on ship when we went to Freeport.

My question is--What is there to do in Freeport? Would I be better off getting off the ship in Nassau and visiting a beach or in Freeport?

This is only my 3rd cruise so I am still learning. I want to stay on the ship one of the port days but I just can't decide.

OKay just won the Country Inn and Suites Cape Canaveral on Priceline for 75.00 a night, 2 nights pre cruise. Probably could have gotten a better deal had I of waited but that is almost 30.00 cheaper than the posted rates on the hotel's website.

Now I have a few questions...Does this hotel offer parking and shuttle to the port. if not how far is the port from the hotel. And last but not least how far is the hotel from Cocoa Beach? My friends wants to go to the beach some and I need to know about public beach access too and parking for that. OR is there public transportation to the beach from the hotel.

I say if you like to cruise and you can afford to cruise more than once a year..go for it.

I would love to be able to afford to cruise more than one time a year. I have only been on one and have one booked for December..

I need some clarification. Myself along with my cousin and her daughter are going on a cruise in Feb 09. I will be getting my passport but my cousin doesn't feel that it will be necessary for them to get one since she read on the state department's website that passports would not be made mandatory until June 09...

I need to know if it is okay that they have a state issued ID and a copy of their certified birth certificate? We are going to the bahamas..

From what I read they would be able to use these for this cruise.

But the daughter is just 16 and she hasn't gotten her driver's license yet and probably won't due to some issues so what would be an acceptable form of Government issued ID for her.

We sail in Feburary and I am trying to make sure everything flows smoothly for this cruise...

I have tried to get them to understand that if something happens and they need to leave the ship or cruise for some reason they will not be able to fly home as soon as they may need to..
