  1. We have done B2B several times on NCL.  Their policy depends on the port and what is decided with the customs agent.  Fortunately, each time we have done B2B and when we had to switch cabins, we told the front desk and they told us where to meet to show our passports the morning of when everyone else departs.  We told our steward that we had to move to a different cabin.  They offered to move our stuff however, we felt more comfortable just packing up and moving.  Fortunately we moved everything into the new vacated room and then were able to return after the room was cleaned.  Again, it depends on the ship, the customs agent, and the port.  We have had a very smooth transition when we had to change cabins and were fortunate.

  2. We too just received the same promotion that your son did. We are also Platinum members on NCL and get our "free" certificates through Ceasars. We would like to try something new but want to make sure that there are not any downsides. We like cruising on NCL, however we have repeatedly been going to the same ports so we would like to try something different.

Hopefully, the "free" cruises are similar to the NCL "free" cruises? If anyone can compare the two programs, please let us know. thank you.

Can anyone give us some info on using a certificate on Princess Cruises? My son has been offered one from Venetian/Palazzo that says it is good for 3-15 day cruises. He can play up from an inside cabin to get a better room like a balcony or mini-suite.

What are the fees for Princess? Are there any extra benefits in the casino on board? Any information is appreciated as we have never sailed on Princess! (We usually get the NCL certificates from CET)

  3. We are thinking of booking this island excursion over Playa Mia we prefer more quiet and less kids are we making the right choice? Anyone ever done this excursion is it worth the money? Any tips or info would be appreciated! TIA

What ship are you going on and when?

We are going out on NCL in March and again in April, and are hoping that this is one of their excursions.

Having said that, we did take an excursion from the ship about 5 years ago on a Carnival Cruise. On Carnival, we took the twister over and they let us off on the island, we had are 2 grown teenagers with us. We all had a blast. At that time, there was nothing there but white sands, a kick back day, and one of the best days we had on that cruise.

Bring a book, you are truly very very relaxed and once you are there it is a very tranquil spot. We went swimming and laid on the beach, had some food and drinks before going back to the ship. On our excursion there was not any shade so be sure to bring along a hat, sunglasses and lots of suntan lotion.

I am hoping that NCL offers an excursion. We typically do things on our own but we are hoping that we can book this one from the ship just so we insure that we get back onetime. Hope this was helpful.
