Aw, bless your heart. We’re experienced cruisers who have sailed Celebrity, Princess, HAL, Cunard, and Azamara and we’ve never experienced a noise issue like this one whether we had the least expensive inside room or a suite.

I’m not going to address the replies indicating I should have just left the room except to say I think cruise cabins should be fully useable at all times, including to be able to sleep, whether it’s midday or midnight like last night. Obviously some noise is to be expected but this was beyond the pale. Every sailing, Virgin is going to have extremely cheesed off guests who paid $5,000 to have their fillings rattled out of their skulls until they fix it.

  2. Currently onboard. Our suite is directly beneath the pool deck and when the DJ plays (such as right now), the bass is so loud it vibrates our entire cabin. Our Rock Star agent says it’s a known issue. We obviously asked to change rooms the day we boarded but only available rooms would have been a massive downgrade. Would recommend avoiding these cabins unless you are a night owl who does not enjoy napping. 👎🏻

  3. Nuts, I’m on the same sailing and also bid on FV and also had to cancel and rebid bc of a new credit card number! Ha! I checked with my TA  on the 21st and the difference between the FV and our current veranda was over $2k. There were still two available on deck 7 and then a few days ago everything just poof disappeared all at once.

  4. There will be a coffee machine in my stateroom? Like a Keurig? Or like an electric kettle and some Sanka?

ETA: Never mind, just searched and saw it's a kettle and Nescafe. As long as the coffee in the King's Court is brewed, I'm good!

  5. My apologies in advance for a potentially stupid question. We are taking our first Azamara cruise Friday. When you say there is a broadband trial, does that mean broadband speeds are free for those who pay for Internet packages, or does everyone receive free internet service during the trial?
