Hahaha the Scarlet Night festivities have started and our room is so loud the water glasses are rattling on the tray.

We got a letter from the captain yesterday saying they are highly encouraged. Someone posted it in the CDC yellow thread.

Currently onboard. Our suite is directly beneath the pool deck and when the DJ plays (such as right now), the bass is so loud it vibrates our entire cabin. Our Rock Star agent says it’s a known issue. We obviously asked to change rooms the day we boarded but only available rooms would have been a massive downgrade. Would recommend avoiding these cabins unless you are a night owl who does not enjoy napping. 👎🏻

How much was your daily bar tab?

Woohoo, just got the email that my MoveUp bid for the FV on the 5/31 Solstice sailing was successful!

There's a few 5/31 sailings, are you on the Solstice (which is currently showing sold out)?
Yup.

Nuts, I’m on the same sailing and also bid on FV and also had to cancel and rebid bc of a new credit card number! Ha! I checked with my TA on the 21st and the difference between the FV and our current veranda was over $2k. There were still two available on deck 7 and then a few days ago everything just poof disappeared all at once.

There will be a coffee machine in my stateroom? Like a Keurig? Or like an electric kettle and some Sanka?
ETA: Never mind, just searched and saw it's a kettle and Nescafe. As long as the coffee in the King's Court is brewed, I'm good!
-
Great, thank you! I'm expecting it to not be as good as on Azamara but not as bad as the swill served on Princess, HAL, and Celebrity.

Bumping this thread to ask if anything has changed and if the complimentary coffee on the QM2 is still brewed?

Smiths was fully booked for my date as well. West Quay quoted me £100 for transportation from Southampton to Heathrow. Is this fair or should I keep looking?
-
Thank you, John Bull! I didn't realize it didn't open until 9:30. Looks like we're out of luck this time around.

My four-year-old daughter and I are arriving in Southampton on the Queen Mary 2 on Monday, May 22. I can handle all of our luggage so we can self-disembark at the earliest possible time. If we book a private transfer to Heathrow for a 1:50pm British Airways flight to Warsaw, do we have enough time for a quick stop at Stonehenge? TIA!

My apologies in advance for a potentially stupid question. We are taking our first Azamara cruise Friday. When you say there is a broadband trial, does that mean broadband speeds are free for those who pay for Internet packages, or does everyone receive free internet service during the trial?

FYI that menu is stamped "Aug 07" in the lower right of the first page.
Avoid Deck 14 Z Brilliant Suites
in Virgin Voyages

Aw, bless your heart. We’re experienced cruisers who have sailed Celebrity, Princess, HAL, Cunard, and Azamara and we’ve never experienced a noise issue like this one whether we had the least expensive inside room or a suite.
I’m not going to address the replies indicating I should have just left the room except to say I think cruise cabins should be fully useable at all times, including to be able to sleep, whether it’s midday or midnight like last night. Obviously some noise is to be expected but this was beyond the pale. Every sailing, Virgin is going to have extremely cheesed off guests who paid $5,000 to have their fillings rattled out of their skulls until they fix it.
