My secret to share about Azura
If you go to E Deck and walk towards the front of the ship - you come to the end of the corridor theres a door that leads to the bow area of the ship and its open to passengers ( depending on the weather )
Its great as not many people know about it and when you have an inside or outside cabin without a balcony its like a private balcony !!!
Is this door signed in any way? Would ventura have this being a sister ship?

This winter i, and many of my acquaintances, had the 6 week cough. My GP surgery had a note about this. Nothing to do with cruises.
Last year i did not have this cough. That was the year my Canadian cousins visited. So i reckon the cure is to invite your Canadian cousins. A lot less anti social than leaving open the patio doors with th aircon on.

Thanks for the responses.
I think i'll go with Parking4Cruises which meet you at the terminal at start and finish so seems to offer the same advantages as CPS at a 30% discount. They seem to be recommended by a number of cruisers.

I have just booked on a Ventura 12 day cruise. P&O recommend CPS Parking which offers parking @ £135. I think this is valet parking but not absolutely clear from the website.
Are there cheaper options whereby we could drop off pax and bags at the terminal and self park a short distance away?
I have found off docks parking but would prefer self parking near the terminal is this exists.
I don't know which terminal will be used.

..........I'm all for ships without inside cabins, having talked to many staff on numerous lines they all say that inside a larger percentage of inside cabin users cause more problems on ships, and also cost more to feed as many off them feel the need to eat like pigs at every opportunity, and also moan more even though they paid two bob for the trip...........
Where to begin!

Car parking options at Southampton?

We used Parking4cruises. They were fine and a lot cheaper than CPS (£93 against £135)
You drive to terminal and drop off bags and passengers. Then drive to short-term car park 100 metres away. Attendant meets you there, notes mileage and photographs any dents or scratches. You walk back to terminal. The whole process took 20 mins. CPS had a bit of a queue themselves. They then drive the car to a secure car park just outside the dock.
On return you walk to the short term car park and meet the attendant. Check the car and mileage and drive round to pick up passengers and bags at terminal.
