I was printing out our itinerary to leave for family and noticed that one of our ports has changed, some time in the last couple of weeks. Is this common? Do they usually notify passengers?

I feel badly for anyone who had made plans for the deleted port and wasn't informed!

We did this last year from Monaco, and while it sounded good in theory, it ended up leaving a sour taste at the end of the trip.

First, we were told that taxis were very hard to come by and we had to book a private transfer for $200+ dollars (Don't remember the exact amount). We stayed one of the lounges, which was fine, but honestly not that much different from waiting at the airport.

When it was time to leave, NO ONE had any idea where our luggage might be. NO ONE had any idea what we were talking about when we said that we had a late departure. At this point, there were huge crowds of new passengers arriving, with all of their piles of luggage. Security called the purser's desk, they called someone else.....no one could find our luggage. We were getting really stressed by this point. Finally, someone told us that there was a held luggage room and it turned out to be there.

Next, no one could tell us who to meet or where for our transfer. We had to push the wrong direction through the incoming crowd toward the entrance and eventually (after more flagging down of official looking people and repeating our story several times) someone showed up with a card with our name spelled incorrectly. I think he was intended for us, but he said was waiting for other passengers as well. So not sure what the deal was with the expensive "private" transfer. Finally, he agreed to take us to the airport.

In the end, I would much rather have saved the money and just gone and waited at the airport. (We didn't have time for the tour) It was just too disorganized and stressful.

And with that said, I'm sure most know this, but make sure that you alert your bank that you will be using the card abroad. Nothing worse than being on vacation and discovering that your account has been frozen!

Maybe I'm missing it, but I cannot find the "Manage my Reservations" link. There is one for Online Check-in, but that takes me back to the same place where my reservation shows but the link is not active.

I do wish that under My Azamara, we could actually see our bookings...not that they exist, but which cabin we are in, etc

I honestly can't figure out what to think with Azamara this year. Maybe the fairly sudden price increases post-all inclusive are catching up with them?

We are booked on the Quest in October, on one of the sailings that has never been eligible for any specials. Checked inventory in January because some friends were thinking of joining us and the only availability was two accessible V2 cabins.

Checked again a few weeks later and almost every cabin seems to be available. There is no rollcall for this sailing....I am convinced that we are practically the only people on the ship! And yet no price drop, no promotions.

Go figure.

Anyone else having trouble accessing their reservations? I can see my (confirmed) reservation, but the link is not active. So although I can go to the separate online check in tab, I cannot see my reservation summary.

Last year I discovered my cruise was canceled six months before sail date only because I couldn't access my reservation and I am in the same time frame now, so getting a little nervous!

Just call me "Gloria". I think I'm going to run with that. :)

Well our only complaint about the new policy whilst we are onboard at the moment is that they keep pouring too much wine:)

 

We have been very happy with the quality of the wine, which does seem to be one red, one white one rose per day as much as you can take!

 

The cocktails are hand poured so very healthy measures and again, the staff are diligent about refilling your glass.

 

There seems to be no confusion and no fuss. Oh and the sun is shining now too!!

Where is the "like" button on CC? Glad you are enjoying your cruise!
