  1. I am set to sail in 6 days and I have a cold (tested negative fortunately).  Bad timing!  I should be done with it by then, but I’ve got a few more days of the cold still to go and probably not better until 2-3 days before sailing.  Obviously if I tested positive, this wouldn’t even be a question but what about a cold?  Would you reschedule at this point or plan on boarding?  I want to do the responsible thing and not sure if I’m being overly cautious.  Confusing times.

  2. Hello all!

I am quite confused by the different dining options on RCL. On Independence, are you able to share different tables each evening at dinner or are you assigned to a traditional table/time? If you are able to share, how easy a process is this and have you found many other singles/couples doing this? On Princess and Celebrity, they make it so easy to ask to join a different table each evening filled with solos and duos who want to share with others, however I am not sure if this is available on this particular ship.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hello everyone!

One thing we love on Celebrity and Princess is that we can join larger tables at dinner and meet new people each evening. I would love to do that on Royal Caribbean, but I'm not sure if that can be done through the Dynamic Dining, or if with the program you can go anytime, but can't join larger tables. Are there any ships on Royal where you can show up at dinner and join larger tables?

    Thanks so much!!

  4. Hi all!

Taking Amtrak from Baltimore and then cab right to port straight from the train.

Should we get off at Newark or NY Penn to grab a taxi? I think there are some extra shuttles we would need to take from the Newark Amtrak station before we can get a cab so maybe it's easier to go further away to Penn Station and then cab from there? Not sure what and how to do it.

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated!

  5. Thanks for the info! It is confusing, I agree. They really should write out that this is a one-time purchase as they clearly state, "FROM $39/day", implying that the ultimate cost increases. Since you have to read all the way down each beverage package to read that it's per person per day, it is easy to assume they all are.

  6. Hello all!

I am confused about the difference between the Evian package (priced at $39/day) and the Royal Replenish package (priced at $22.42/day). In the summary, it says that you get bottled water in the Royal Replenish package among other things. So, why would one purchase the more expensive Evian package?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
