I'm not sure what you mean by "specifically free wine". We ordered by the varietal we preferred i.e. merlot, cabernet, chardonnay, pinot gris, etc. When we want a better selection (say at dinner) we'll order the wine package for the week or charge directly from the bar. I think it's the same situation with the cocktails ordered...if you want top shelf there is a small charge.

On our transatlantic on the Mariner of the Seas (sister ship, same layout) we could go into the lounge any time. (your Sea Pass card is programmed to unlock the door for entry). They have hours where the Concierge is on duty to help with any tickets or reservations that you might need. In the mornings they have continental breakfast out in a small buffet serving area. They had a separate area in the Main Dining Room for Diamond for a full breakfast. There is a self serve cappuccino machine in the lounge for complimentary latte, cappuccino, etc. The evening event has hot and cold appetizers in the buffet area and complimentary drinks are served by the waiters. There were so many Diamond and Diamond + members on our TA that they set up the whole event in the Viking Crown Lounge, which is just outside the locked entry door to the Diamond Lounge. During non-eating event times there were usually only 4 or 5 others in the lounge either quietly visiting, reading, and relaxing. The view is wonderful from in there and the couches and wing chairs very comfortable. We took the iPad with downloaded movies on it and a headphone splitter and watched a movie every once in a while in there (on the TA we had 6 days at sea on the crossing, so we hung out a lot in the Diamond Lounge). The Diamond Lounge on the Allure of the Seas was set up completely different and people went in mainly during light breakfast and appetizer time. It was an interior location overlooking the promenade so we didn't visit in there as much. It was a great viewing area for any parades help in the promenade area though. Are you new Diamond members?

I will be going on a future cruise on this ship and was just wondering if anyone can tell me about the diamond lounge. What are the hours? What specific free wines are there to choose from? And what types of food?
