I have been missing out on some beautiful sailaways because of preparing for dinner and shows. I thank you all for your words of wisdom. We sailed into NYC at dawn and seeing the statue of liberty all lit up in the early morning sunrise was beyond beautiful. It sounds like this will also be memorable. It is our first and probably last AUS/NZ trip. Not the cruise but the length of flight (22 hours) to get there. So can't wait.

We have gone to Customer Service and changed, not eliminated, daily amount and given directly to people servicing us.

I have booked Mercantile Hotel on George st. for 10/20-22 Is this OK place We don't need much as we will be out and about before boarding ship on 22. Advice

We did SAmerica and was wonderful Would not recommend Carnival crew didn't have a clue about retired travelers wanting more information about the trip. Not enough to do on ship on sea days.

We were on that or similar cruise and we used atm to withdraw from credit card. We are nervous about carying bank card. Shops use credit cards and new US dallors were always good. Russian tour person said their bank does not like to change old heavily used money. We always order from our bank $1,5, 10's in US currency. You may pay a bit more but you loose more exchanging to other currency and back again.

Rydges Sydney Central in Albion Street is modern, clean and comfy. Five minute walk to Central Station and the free CBD ho-ho buses runs along Elizabeth street to town.

I will check them out We are doing sydney to sydney and NZ beginning 10/22 Long pants, jackets, gloves hats???

Any additional information on river cruising would be great. We leave on Gate 1 Danube River 6/30/14. Is iit cold while on deck? What type of outerwear?
