  1. Yes,Harry.I have an Iphone 8 ,in a case. The phones are heavy.Though I keep my iring on always, the ring is easy to take off.But you do want a good quality one.I stopped taking my ipad, out on ship deck,as I almost dropped the ipad while leaning over the rail, while videoing a “ hot” bag piper,at the Halifax pier ,last year. You got to love a guy wearing a kilt .Bagpipe music,it depends.

Anyway, off topic.I do not take my phone with me everywhere on ship,as heavy and bulky, but always off ship, since there is always something to see.

But I have hooked a small carabiner on my lanyard and hooked the phone ring thru that, while taking deck pics ,etc.As you said the phone takes such great pics, and so easy to transfer between devices, the ipad can stay home, all good..A whole new world.

  2. Though American,I like PG tips.I even order it from England, via Amazon, as stonger then US product..My fall back is the Tetley British Blend.I drink room temp. or iced tea, year round regardless of outside temp. I take a tea container, and make a pitcher each day.The cont. problem, across ship lines, it hot water at dinner,to make tea.I used to ask at end of meal, and after people got coffee, dessert ,etc, maybe I would get warm to hot water, and also maybe remember a tea bag.Anyway I now take plenty of tea bags, on cruise, and a few to MDR dinner, and ask for a hot water pot with meal, sometimes yea, sometimes no.Seems funny ,but all I drink is tea and water, and want what I want.So long story short, the tea across ships lines is "horrid",if you like pale black tea or herbal, maybe ok.

  3. I saw that the Eurodam will overnight at Pier 30,in Quebec.

As the Queen Mary is at pier 22,overnight,I do not think the Eurodam will be reberthed overnight.

My question, since I have only been berthed at pier 21/22, is how far to funicular, etc.we seem off at far end of pier, according to maps.Any info appreciated. Thanks

  4. I will be on the Eurodam,in Oct.Saw that we will be overnight at pier 30.The Queen Mary is at pier 22,overnight,so do not have hope of ship changing berth.

I have not been at this pier.Always at 21,22.

Question, how far to funiculair, etc?Or any other helpful tips,as it seems out of the way, over by the paper mill.

    Thanks

  5. I must say that am beyond suprised ,not ony at a tea post but the no. of comments.

I have been drinking tea since I was young, (a long time ago now)never coffee.

I largely drink room temp. or iced tea all year. The local Dunkin Donuts will confirm that I drink iced tea, even when it is 10F,like it was today.

I have never liked the Eurpoean powdered mix that is used to make iced tea, on at least HA, RCI,,and NCL.And to try and make iced tea, out of hot tea at buffet, done with that..And to try and get hot tea, in the MDR,(name a cruise line ),during the meal, ahaha, but to wait till after coffee is served, a teapot/hot water is found, a tea bag is found elsewhere,oh my.

I have been taking my own tea bags for many years, and I make a thermos of tea, each day.I was just soo thrilled to see that there were so many every day tea drinkers,on cruises.

Lipton is ok, I use Tetley British blend round, at home. Would prefer PG tips, but since I buy so much, about cost. And last but not least the Field tea bags, were on RCI,and NCL in the last year.I think enough that is publishable,,haah , has been said by other posters.Forget about them. And yes, I will be commenting after my upcoming April Dawn cruise. If the cruiseline listens as well as they do about the single supplement,well...enough said. But if we do not ask, then...Dee
