I am interested in this as well. Will be on Symphony and have the deluxe package and am hoping that I can just pop into the diner to get a shake as the food doesn’t look appealing to me but the shakes and dessert do. Thanks.

We were on the Symphony for the TA.  Hubs had the deluxe beverage package & I had the refreshment package.  We enjoyed our FREE milkshakes at JR while sitting at the counter.  It was a nice little treat & we enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere.  They were delicious. (we didn't order any food)

  2. Just nabbed the elusive Cow Sweet. I'm really excited to get a chance to be in my home away from home. From my screen name, I'm sure you all can tell why. LOL I could probably completely decorate the space from my private collection.

Am I reading correct that folks "do" take something to add to the collection, if they choose to? I have some magnetic cow clips that I could leave behind & they would be functional yet not fill up priceless storage space.

  3.

We were there in December about 1 PM. It wasn't crowded at all, hardly anyone there. There was a signboard that said there were some drinking contests and dance activities earlier in the day. We didn't start drinking that early so I don't know if they were well attended or not.

There's no beach, but they are working on a swimming pool. It looks like it might be quite some time until completion. There were 3 people sitting in the shade, and one person pushing a wheelbarrow. :D

The pool will be located in the back behind the giant limes and the lost shaker of salt. :)

Thanks for the info. LOVE the giant limes & salt shaker. That will certainly be a "kodak moment" :)

  4. We will be in Jamaica in a few months & wondered if anyone has any recent updates or pictures of the Margaritaville there. Would it be too crowded to hang out there for a while? Is there a beach? ...inquiring minds want to know. THANKS! :)

  5. Radio,

Thanks again for taking us along with you on your cruise. You always share such wonderful pictures & information.

Can you check out a 'particular' cabin that I believe is on your ship. I think it's a cabin that is decorated in a "cow" motif and is located just above Ben & Jerry's in the promenade. I would like to book that cabin some day, even with the "cow obstruction" overlooking the promenade.

    Have a GREAT trip!

  6. The last cruise we went on I made "journals" of sorts for myself (and DH), and the 3 other couples that traveled with us. They were the 1" 3 ring binders that are sold at office supply stores. I printed out a cover that showed a picture of our ship, it's name & the dates of our cruise. Inside I put 3 page protectors for each day of the cruise. Each day there was a cover page that had the date and location we were suppose to be along with a list. i.e. Things we did today, meals, shore excursions, etc. That way if we didn't really have time to write a lot, we could hit the highlights. The blank page protectors were great for the cruise compasses as well as other memorabilia and I also included lined paper for extra journaling. Every morning I would open up the album to what day it was & take a picture with my camera(s) so that it would be easier to remember where we were when the pictures were taken. (a LOT of islands look the same from the balcony-LOL) Plus that helped keep the days straight incase the wrong day got printed on the picture. Another good thing to add to that is to burn a cd for each day of the pics & slide those in the appropriate day as a backup. Since I love to scrapbook it was a great way to keep up with what we did & where & the pages I printed made a nice starter page for each day of the cruise.

I love the idea someone posted of also journaling sounds, smells etc. as you sail. It really brings you right back onboard till you cruise again.
