So a taxi is $60 one way to the gardens, is that for 4 passengers??? is it USD??
I would do the taxi to the Gardens. Perhaps tea at the gardens. Once your done the gardens if you still have time, take the taxi to downtown and then walk back to the ship. -
We did the bus / train combo to Emerald Lake with Chilkoot and loved it. We added to dog cart ride at Caribou Crossing and enjoyed it as well. I

Please can you tell me which tour you did to get to Emerald Lake, was it Private tour or from your ship?

Thanks for posting; we’re on the same cruise this August and really looking forward to it ;).
I will be sailing in August and I have questions due to the age of the Grand
My question is are the repairs to the stairs done?????? I had a large group planning on going and now that we picked this ship they are cancelling due to this issue. It makes the wait for the elevator longer if a staircase is not available. Can anyone respond to this????????? I love the itinerary, so I am still planning on going even if its a older ship and we have to walk to the other side of the ship to get to the stairs. Wondering if they are doing any major repairs on our vacation, can anyone answer????
Your dessert looks divine!! Drooling already...

We hope you are still enjoying your vacation, as its better than work. I hope we don't miss ANY ports next week as I had to Pre-pay in Cozumel to swim with the Manatees. I will be very sad if I miss that opportunity.
Sorry for the loss and thinking that the other ship that got out of port was due to its size being smaller.

Its so much fun to read your post and remember when- I was on the same itinerary last year on the Emerald. Hopefully on St. Lucia you are taking the best tour ever with Corsol tours. Out of all the years of cruising this was the best tour and our favorite island and I found him through cruise critic. As for my favorite ship- Its the Sapphire and I leave on her in 14 days and can not wait. :D Thank you again for posting and I look forward to reading more. My one regret- I wished I bought more than one bottle of Banana Ketcup as it broke when the cupboard was opened to fast and fell out before we used it.:o Its just a reason to go back, I guess.

I'm coming, don't leave the room empty, :DI'm cruising Dec 10th out of Ft Lauderdale.
"if for some reason you change your mind or can't end up going, what can you do since they automatically charge your card when they accept your bid"You lose your money. Thats why if your dates arent firm, and your room selection is paramount to your vacation enjoyment, Priceline and Hotwire arent the best services for everyone.
On our upcoming cruise in December, we won a room at the WESTIN DIPLOMAT in Hollywood Fl. on Hotwire. When we moved our cruise date up one week, we lost the room and it will be empty...and paid for on that night. It breaks my heart, but its just a choice you have to make.

Wow, It is a great price, and yes it does sound to good to be true- You going to try it? I'll have to think about it, this was the one island that we were just going to wing it, get a taxi and just go, but this sounds as if it would be alot cheaper.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Being so busy it took 3 days to complete reading it and was in complete surprise when my computer shut down that I was able to find your review again. My DH and I are leaving for Alaska in less than 2 weeks and we're very excited. Over buying warm clothes and enjoying reading other reviews. Thank you again
