Terribly disappointed here, I booked a year ago a Grand Suite for 4 with the understanding it would be 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Quite the attractive price for the 12/23/17 sailing since I had booked so early . I called and confirmed my suite 11002 does not have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the ones that have are booked completely. Going forward a year , the 12/22/18 sailing has one available for $3,000 more than what I paid for this . I will not be choosing that option and perhaps just cancelling all together and getting my deposit returned. I asked for some help in just getting 2 suites and they would not accommodate . I may try again

My family has 11002 on December 23 of this year and I hope they have not changed the configuration that is stated as 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and nice sitting area. Well final payment is not due until September so can always cancel

This sounds like a deal for the internet , even if it is very slow , did they let you combine D+discounts to buy the four days $80 off?

It was $100 for the remaining 4 days. Our D+ discount was $80 OFF. So basically we go

Hi Glenn, we have been up there this morning and got some pictures.

 

The conference rooms are accessed from deck 13 and are at the rear of the ship. To get there from the lift banks you walk through the stateroom corridors on deck 13

 

When we got the pictures around 6am (as we assumed it would be empty then) it was dark outside so you will have to imagine the sea but we would think it would be a great view.

 

The conference room spans the rear of the ship and can be divided into sections. The starboard end section was sectioned off with the door open. It looks like this is being used for storage at the moment so I didn't take any pictures of this part. The port side also sectioned off so there isn't one photo of the full area I'm afraid just the sections.

The solarium is enclosed and air conditioned.

That may work then , I was on Quantum in December and found the Solarium wonderful given the frigid weather at that time sailing out of New York. thank you for that input ,glenn

I have a favor to ask of anyone on board . If it is not too much trouble , we are planning my Daughter's wedding on board Anthem July 9th sailing to Bermuda. One venue they have offered is the Conference center at the stern of the ship. Was wondering if anyone on board could snap a picture or 2 . We anticipate 40 -50 people sailing and attending the wedding and it looks like a great view out the rear of the ship .

The only other venue available that sailing is the Music Hall and while nice we were looking for something with an outdoor view. The solarium has been offered as well but tuled out based on how warm it could be that time of year in the solarium.

I am planning a cruise on Liberty and was wondering how the wifi service is on that ship these days .? Cost and speed ? I was on quantum and was very impressed with the speed and the cost was very reasonable

Sailing April 12 2015 and I am curious if FaceTime for Apple iPhones and iPad work with the purchased internet package ?

Boarded Q yesterday. In DL this morning they had self-serve pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs & bacon plus asst pastries. Cappuccino machine working fine.

Float out august 3rd

On 3 August 2014 the Quantum of the Seas for Royal Carribean International will be floated out of the dock hall II of the Meyer Werft shipyard at Papenburg. We will broadcast this event – like we did it already with the Norwegian Getaway - live in HD quality on this website and on YouTube.

One of the generators will be replaced . The staff captain explained to me that it has been out of service for quite a while. This dry dock will have the ship raised extra high so they can cut a whole in the bottom of the ship to get the engine out. They will then raise a new unit in place and weld the hole back. I asked and he confirmed this is covered under the original warranty.

My brother sailed yesterday , he is diamond plus and he sent me a picture of the letter from the concierge . Looks like it is being rolled out to other ships, gp

Just received my email, I am Diamond plus and booked on Quantum next April 12 days. I work in NYC and will happily attend. gp
