  1. we are going on cruise beginning dec 8 and wondering how far ahead I need to print everything out. I went on website once to fill in a lot of data but just didn’t know how soon to print it out

You will get an email from HAL saying your Boarding Passes are available to be printed. I believe it is 50 days before sailing when you can print. You can fill out the Express Online Documents earlier than that but you have to wait until their timeline to print. I usually just go ahead and print mine BUT if your flights change for any reason or you have other changes you will have to go through the process again.

  2. My email came to print my boarding passes. Am having problems seeing where they are. I have filled out both Express documents.

Sorry, not sure what I am doing.

I printed ours today. You basically have to go back through all the questions you have already filled in on the express doucments. Your answers should already to there and You DO NOT need to fill them out again just click on "next guest" and "click and save" when they come up. On the last page is where you will see to print. I had to hold for a few seconds on the print. When I just clicked quickly like I normally do nothing happened. Once I just held down the right click part of the mouse for a few seconds the screen came up with info to be printed. If there is a way to go directly to print without having to go back through all the questions I could not find it.

  3. Does anyone know which Cruise Terminal HAL ships sail from or if it varies. We will be on the Oosterdam in Feb. 2017.

Thanks to everyone for the posts about Hotels and Cruise Packages at the hotels. We will be driving down and looking for a place to stay and leave car.

    Thaks!!

  4. Thanks for your input! Since I posted this, I've booked one bus tour and 2 private ones, which we will share with another couple.

What I really prefer is someone from the island to tell me all about it. For example, we have walked around OSJ, but learned little, or nothing. So, this trip I've already booked a tour. We are interested in history, culture and scenic nature, rather than a day at the beach. John

John, We are going in December and are interested in the same things. I have contacted a few tour companies. Some already filled for the day we will be there and others have not answered. I would love to hear about your experience after you go or if you can share who you have booked with I could go ahead and try to contact them. Did you contact by email or phone?

I have seen several posts where people say to just get a taxi at the pier but I would rather have something in place if possible before we go.

  5. The one in Dorado is a LONG way from the airport and cruiseport and San Juan. We looked into it once - 60.00 taxi ride one way.

Thanks. I looked at Google Maps and found the one near the airport is in Isle Verde with the grocery store and Walgreens nearby so that is where I booked.

  6. Yes you will, it's a good location. There is also two Walgreens one is 24 hrs. Where you can pick up water and wine.

Is this the Embassy Suites at 8000 Tartrah St. (not sure I got the spelling of this street right) on Isla Verda?

I noticed there is also an Embassy Suites at 201 Dorado Del Mar Blvd but it looks as if it is quite a ways from the airport.

    Thanks.

  7. We did a 3 hour tour with Bully on March 6 and we could not asked for anything better. We requested a tour which did not require a lot of walking as I have knee problems and we were very pleased. We saw just about everything I read about on the Island and got some great pictures. Bully arrived right on time and went out of his way to be sure we were comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a personalized tour rather than just "where the bus takes you".
