Thank you for this thought provoking and upbeat post! I know that the staff and crew go all out to make our cruise amazing, even though they are away from their families. We will definitely be tipping extra throughout our upcoming April 4th cruise!

Thanks for your review--I changed our cabin from L101 to a cabin mid-ship on the Emerald deck over the weekend because of what you said about the motion you felt being up so high. I do get seasick in choppy water, so didn't want to risk being sick.

I'm a huge fan of the PR aft balcony cabins. The only time you can't be on the balcony is when the cables are being attached. For about 30 minutes of lost balcony time, Princess gave us our choice of two free Sanctuary passes, or a $130 cabin credit. We took the credit, then sat in our cabin and watched the workers attach the cables. It was actually pretty interesting. I loved that the balcony was completely covered and the rooms are much newer and nicer than the older balcony rooms. It's also close to Crooner's. ;)
This is for anyone who has had experience with the PR aft balcony cabins during Panama Canal cruises. Do they always automatically offer you a credit or Sanctuary passes because you are in those cabins, or did you have to ask for it?

Make sure you book with someone who doesn't charge cancellation fees or change fees.
Sip and Sail has refundable deposit - so yes, if you book and 3 for Free is better, you can switch.
Some fares will go up, some go down, some stay the same. Impossible to predict.
Thank you!

Thanks for all the great information Coral!! I have some questions..we are currently booking a 10 day Partial transit Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess October 2019--it is not booked yet. If we book under the Sip & Sail now, can we transfer our deposit to the 3 for FREE after 9/6 if it is a better deal? Or will be lose our deposit? Should we wait for the 3 for Free--do the prices traditionally come down compared to the Sip & Sail?;p;p;p

Blue Cheese for me! But I do love Green Goddess, too. Haven't tried it on a Princess cruise--will look for it on the Golden next week!

Call AA. If the airline changes the flight, you will be able to rebook to a flight that works for you (as long as that flight isn't fully booked) with no penalty fees.

THANK YOU for your review! We'll be doing the south bound in a little over a month and using many of your tips!

Every time these get discussed here on CC, someone makes a comment like yours. One lady actually became outraged that people used over the door shoe racks because SHE had never needed one. Live and let live, I say. We’ve cruised for up to five months at a time in inside cabins, and an over the door shoe rack saves us. Heck, I use one at home now too, not so much because I need additional storage, but I like keeping toothbrush, dental floss, makeup, manicure tools, contacts lens stuff, hair gels, etc. in clear pockets, hidden behind the bathroom door, rather than in drawers or sitting out.
Thanks for the great suggestion of using one at home! I can't believe I've never thought of putting one on the back of my bathroom door. I have so many little items that are all over the place. I'm very visual and love being able to see where everything is and can easily find it when I need it.

Thank you for your review! Glad your cruise was amazing. We are looking to a fabulous cruise on the Golden in around 6 weeks!

Pass on their coffee altogether and just order Americano; double shot. They never charge extra for the additional shot.
Yes!! This is what I order.

Every cruise line stops at a different glacier area, so hopefully your ship is going to Glacier Bay. When the ship goes to a glacier area such as Glacier Bay, it is a day at sea viewing the glaciers. You do not get off the ship. It is beautiful. There will be national park rangers on board to give the passengers information about what they are viewing.

Just back from our Princess Regal cruise and our Outback Terracross Adventure tour! We got a really good price on Princess $79/person--$10 less then on the Outback Terracross website. Glad we booked early, the price went up $10/person a month before the cruise.
What a fantastic tour!! Highly recommend. The staff were professional, fun, and kept us all safe! For reference my husband and I are 64 and 57 y/o respectively with no back, knee, hip or neck problems.
After the safety instructions and getting our shoulder seat belts and helmets on, we were on our way. My husband and I each got the opportunity to drive the atv on asphalt roads, sugar cane fields and through the back country! Mud was flying (there were recent heavy rains), dust was swirling and we were bouncing---had an absolute blast! Stopped for some fresh coconut water (each received a freshly cut coconut and a straw) in a cool, heavily wooded area where we switched drivers; then were we were off again through small villages and to a river with super clear water. We swam, cooled down and cleaned off the mud we had acquired during our journey. Then there was a short drive back to Outback Terracross Adventure. We were served beer & soft drinks and a nice lunch of Domincan Fried Chicken and plantains. Also had a taste of Mamajuana (wine, rum, honey and herbs) which is a local Dominican drink (tasted like cough syrup with a lot of fresh herb flavor).
It was a great day! If we are ever in Domincan we will do this tour again!!

I do not know the answers to your questions, I wish I did.
But you have (intentionally or not) boiled cruise board posting down to it's essence. Folks who are signed up for a cruise are very interested on the millions of details about their ship. Unfortunately, few (and I am so so guilty on this) go live or post about their cruise experiences soon after they return to the our boring daily lives. It's human nature, I guess :o. So we are all destined to swim in the darkened unknown waters of the current (pun intended) happenings onboard.
Some good news, though - well maybe not, it's my perspective after all and I'm a bit odd, but I am committing right now to bore all of you with the details of my upcoming Regal 3/26 cruise.
You are all doomed.
We'll be on this cruise with you. Love your writing style! Looking forward to reading your "live from" report after we get back--so we can relive our fabulous cruise!
Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to meet on board!

Thank you so much for the fantastic review and gorgeous pictures. We'll be sailing in a few days on the Regal--your review and pics are making getting through these last few days even harder!

Pretty sure she was CC host. Tall redhead. She was nice to us.
However, my sister and husband earned Platinum status with this cruise and should have received the paperwork and pin at the end of the cruise. They didn't get anything. I thought that was her responsibility.
Maybe the procedure has changed--but I seem to remember getting our pin on the cruise after we earned the next level.

Thanks for all of your reviews!

We can always start talking about the Butter again. :)

Love! Truly laughed out loud.

Thank you for posting your cruise photos and review! We'll be on the Regal in a couple of weeks--thanks for our Regal fix!!;p

Can someone tell me about Afternoon Tea in the MDR? Is it served to you? On a stand or just plates?
Waiters walk around with tea pots and trays, and serve a variety of items--pastries, scones, & small sandwiches. It is a very nice treat.

Princess prices on the ship for sunscreen really aren't that horribly expensive. ;)
Bought an 8 oz. bottle for about $7.00 on Caribbean Princess in January.
Easier than carrying it on the ship with us. :D
Exactly !Last month, I bought the larger size SPF 30 onboard the Caribbean Princess for $14.00
OP.. pack lite, and buy it onboard :)
Exactly--unless you want something very specific, go with the above suggestions. No worries!!

But, you're running out time. Make your own.
Get some clear packing tape and "wrap" your luggage tags with it. That will work, short of a flood.
I recently purchased some luggage tags on Ebay so we are going to be very fancy for our next cruise. However, packing tape works great! If you are coming in the day before your cruise, just ask the front desk at the hotel for a stapler to attach the taped luggage tags to your luggage.

Thank you so much for the great review of the Regal! We'll be on board in 16 days--your review is whetting my appetite for a fantastic cruise!
Interrogatory Question: Please just answer “Yes” or “No” and your Cruise Date. Have you received your Option 2 refund ?
