  1. Hi all!

I have checked with CCL and it seems that I would be permitted to bring an inflatable paddle board for use in port only. Just curious if anyone has done it? We are sailing the southern route on the Fascination and thinking it would be a good way for my non-swimmer spouse to float around and check out the sea life. Thanks in advance. :)

  2. The website pictures are amazing. Did you have to pre-arrange or they charged the cover on arrival? How much was the cover? Thanks in advance....looks beautiful.

Hi there, we have been many times. Last time we went to Tiki-bar. Taxi driver said we would enjoy it. He was right. Quiet end of a Acra beach, also known as Rockley beach. We paid a fee to get in and it included chairs. But then we also received Tiki dollars that we used for lunch and drinks. We really enjoyed it and would definitely go back

  3. Hi there!

In looking through the recent posts, it seems there are a lot of negative reviews from the October 9th sailing. We were on the cruise, and were unfortunately diverted from Bermuda to Port Canaveral and Nassau due to weather. The itinerary change was a hard pill to swallow for many, as we had our premium destination replaced with two (much) less desirable ports in my opinion. I personally feel NCL could have been more communicative and could have handled the situation much better, but that is my subjective opinion. There were a lot of very angry people and it took a toll on the passengers and staff. Couple the itinerary change with some issues (which may have been easier to overlook absent the disappointment) there are many passengers that are very angry. The ship is fantastic and frankly we had a fantastic time in spite of the issues we encountered. Don't worry, as the other poster said, your cruise is what you make of it. We made a decision to very briefly lick our wounds and move on. Our trip was still fantastic, we got to spend time with loved ones, the crew did a great job, and you should have a fine time. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them. Enjoy your trip!

  4. May I ask anyone who knows, where are you seeing this allowable benefit? I was told by one of the PCC's on board our last cruise that they were doing this so I purchased 4 on my last cruise and am on CC everyday and NCL periodically and have not as of yet seen this. Been waiting to see it to apply 2 to my next cruise. Thanks in advance!

I check it by going to the NCL website and typing CuiseNext into the search feature. Once the page opens, the first, featured result will take you to the CruiseNext page. There is a banner on that page that has the promo information. Hope that helps....I'm not tech savvy enough to include the link......sorry!

  5. NCL will run specials that allow you to apply two CruiseNext certificates to a single booking. They typically only allow one per booking, so the promo to apply two is the special. They typically allow it for sailings that are close to departure date. Right now they will allow two CruiseNext certificates to be applied to sailings booked and sailed by December 31st of this year.

  6. The outside is not hot if you are just sitting on the loungers. Very pleasant. The Thermal Suite is wonderful!

    Wet Sauna hot

    Dry Sauna hoter

    Steam Room hot

    Salt Bath a little warm

Hydro Therapy Pool warm, swirling, wonderful

    Hot rock loungers warm

Thank you for the information.....exactly what I needed (and had no luck finding with my search). Happy travels.....thanks again.

  7. Contemplating week passes for thermal suite on the Breakaway next month. The promotional video says you feel "heat" when you enter. This has turned DH off completely. Still considering a pass for myself.....and hoping someone can chime in with information on how warm the area (outside of the sauna, of course) actually is. Thanks in advance everyone!

  8. Hello Brianna,

I had read this review before and I went searching because I wanted to share your pictures from the Cozumel Bar Hop with the hubs. He loved them and we have officially booked, based heavily on your amazing review/pictures. I hope your new job here in Florida is amazing and that you are loving the Orlando sunshine. Continued thoughts and prayers for you.....keep cruising with your amazing friends who lift you up. :)

  9. 😀 have a wonderful trip.....we sure did.

Will be going on the Paradise in 2 weeks and not finding too much up to date information. If anyone can render any information on the questions below that would be great:

    1. Does anyone have any NEWER Fun Times for the 4 day Trip to Cozumel sailing? Everything I have seen is very old.

We were on the 4 night Cozumel sailing over New Years. I didn't save the fun times though.

    2. If you recently went on the Paradise how was the temperature in the cabins, MDR and thru out the ship? I thought the cabin and ship were comfortable for the most part. Our cabin was a little warm with the curtains open.

    3. Is there hair dryers in the cabins and if so how are they? No, there was not a hair dryer in our cabin.

    4. Is there a refrigerator in the cabins? Nope.

Thanks for any information and Happy Cruising.

  10. cruiserke;48027119']Are you sure about this - needing to cancel and rebook? I changed one of my sailings (from a Getway cruise in August 2015 to an Escape cruise in May 2016) by calling NCL Reservations and:

    - I kept the original booking number

    - I also was allowed to transfer the promo I booked' date=' which was free UBP without having to pay gratuities on it. By the time I made change new bookings with the free UBP had you pay the gratuities but I am excluded from that.

    - The UDP which I had booked myself was also carried over to my changed sailing and, again, I booked the UDP before you had to pay the 18% grats, and was allowed to keep the original price.

As that would not have been possible with a cancel and new booking (which would have required picking the new promo's) I don't think this was a straight-up cancel/reboook.

One caveat, is that I used a Cruise Reward for the original booking, not sure if this makes a difference.[/quote']

I changed my booking from GA to BA and made a passenger name change prior to final payment, all while keeping my booking number and pre-gratuity UBP. I also used a Cruise Reward for the deposit, though. Best to you and hope you enjoy your cruise.

  11. I didn't feel there was a difference from previous cruises in the overall feel with the new promos. I am not a heavy drinker, but selected the UBP. I didn't find I drank more than I would have without it. Keep in mind the BA is not a cheap ship to sail....so I doubt it is attracting an entirely different passenger base. I enjoyed having the UBP because I walked off the ship with a $25 bill, comprised of additional tips for some who provided extraordinary service and minimal tax for a couple drinks ordered in port. I would never buy the UBP because I don't cruise to get drunk and would be better off purchasing individual drinks, but I really enjoyed having it to try some new drinks. Those that were a bust I just sent back guilt free. I didn't use the specialty restaurants, but the availability board always showed some options available. We also never had a problem locating a table when we had coffee in the Garden Cafe. Enjoy your cruise!

  12. We stay at the Sheraton Riverwalk when we sail from Tampa. Great location, shuttle to the port, or you could even walk if you were so inclined. It's only a few blocks if you pack light....haha. Wherever you choose, enjoy your cruise!

  13. I think I will watch it and see if the price drops (a lot). It is a short two hour drive to the port, but putting it in perspective for the actual time we will be on board, it isn't worth it right now. Hopefully the price will drop as the sailing draws near and it will become a better financial decision. Really appreciate everyone's thoughts....the help provided is what this forum is all about. Happy Sailing everyone!;)

  14. Hi there!

Reaching out to those who have sailed Oasis and/or Allure. My husband and I are cruise fanatics, but hubby won't have any vacation time for another 9 months. We have never sailed on either Oasis or Allure and this two nighter would give us a chance to experience some of the ship without needing vacation time. Even though it's a little pricey, compared to my usual Florida resident bargain hunting, I am very intrigued by this trip.

Is the on board experience worth it? Hubby loves the promenade on the Freedom class ships and I am seriously considering booking this as a treat to hold us over until we sail the Pacific Coast on Explorer next fall. An added bonus is that this two night trip would make us Emerald. Not a big deal, but a bonus none the less. Thoughts??

    Thanks all!:D

  15. Thank you so much for putting this together. I have been following since you started and the hubs is now teasing that I barely set my purse down before I check in after work. Heading to Bermuda on the BA this fall.....just me and the bestie to celebrate 25 years of friendship. Your pictures are amazing!!!!! and will help us plan our adventures. Thanks again for taking the time and sharing with us.
