  1. I could not find an answer anywhere or find anyone with any experience in this topic.  I finally called NCL Corporate and was put in touch with someone in resolutions.  It took him awhile to find the info but all the Inside Family Suites (SP) have the 2nd bedroom with the 2nd bathroom on the Joy.  He agreed that the website description seems to be incorrect.  I'm posting in case anyone else ever has a question about it, hopefully this will pop up in their search.

  2. The description on this category says:  Perfect if you want to bring the kids, these spacious family cabins range from one to two bedrooms, a living area with double sofa bed, a virtual balcony and some feature a bathtub.

Where are the one bedrooms?  Do all have 2 bathrooms?  I'm thinking of upgrading just to have the 2nd bathroom and space.  I called NCL and the descriptions they have for each stateroom does not specify how many bathrooms in each room.  I've done a lot of searching and watched a lot of videos.  Everything I see shows the 2nd bedroom and 2nd bath.

    Any input is appreciated.

    Thanx.

  3. Can you walk the whole course?

    Does everyone get a medal?

Is there a charge to participate?

I know there is a meeting prior to getting off the ship but do all of the participants get off the ship first?

Do you have to preregister before the meeting to participate?

Do they still have race shirts for sale and how much do they cost?

Yes, you can walk the whole course. I did the entire course at a brisk walk in about 50 minutes.

I was 2nd to the last one in and yes, I got a medal :) It's my understanding from pics I've seen that they have changed them since I got mine in Jan 2014.

    No charge.

When I did it we preregistered, I think the night before. We met the next morning before getting off the ship prior to everyone else getting off. We were escorted to the starting line.

There were shirts when I did it 15 months ago. I think they were in the $25 range but I could be wrong.

  4. I haven't been on the Dream, but Fantasy, her sister ship, had a hot tub near where the heated loungers were that you used if you had rainforest pass. I thought I had heard if you got a spa treatment you could use the rest of the spa for a day, but I never confirmed. Sorry.

I think they are on the Dream and Fantasy but not on the Magic and Wonder.:) I used the hot tub on the

Fantasy using the Day Passes but don't know about using them with a spa treatment.

  5. We were fortunate to get Gerry as our driver on Christmas Eve. Gerry took us on a tour of the city. He is very knowledgeable about the history and landmarks. He took us through many areas that I feel you would not see on a "regular" city tour. He took us to some shops where we got some souvenirs and I got some vanilla for my baking friends. Gerry has a Sam's Club card and we went to Sam's Club too! If anyone had ever told me that I would enjoy a trip to Sam's Club in Cozumel, I would have bet that I would not...but I did! Just checking out the pricing on items was an experience. Dang...I should move here! We went to the ruins which were also enjoyable. The iguanas and, surprisingly, the racoons where abundant. I thought racoons were nocturnal. Not here! There was a pair that crossed the paths fairly close to us tourists. It was surprising. We also saw a wild pig or boar after leaving... I can't go into all the wonderful things we saw and did with Gerry. I would recommend Gerry highly. At our last stop, we went in to have lunch and the girls a swim in the ocean and pool. When we came out...Gerry was there...and his Christmas dinner was in the back! How that all came to be, I do not know, but Gerry knows so many people in the area that I think his family dinner was delivered to him while he waited for us to finish. And yes...Gerry sang to us too... We felt that we were in good hands. He even stopped traffic for us to cross streets when necessary. We enjoyed our time with Gerry.

  6. Wow! I was trying to talk my husband in renting a car and was looking up here for ideas and found this thread. We were able to book Gerry for December 24. I'm excited. Eduardo got back to me very quickly. He is asking for ideas and suggestions. We've only been to Nachi Cocum so we are open to ideas. I'll spend some more time reading. I'm excited to have gotten him and can't wait to put together a semi-itinerary.

    Thanks for the tips!

  7. I have never sailed without a balcony. We cruise on the 14th of this month and this will be the first time without a balcony.

My hubby drinks his morning coffee out there every a.m. Just being able to open the door and step out to feel the ocean air on your face, letting the sea air into your room is wonderful.

Our last cruise, we were next door to couple who each smoked. Thankfully, they weren't chain smokers so the inconvenience was hardly noticed.

We'll see how cruising without a balcony is later this month.
