We should be landing in LA just about this time on Thursday night...Next is to deal with the traffic to LB...EEK!!!!!!!!!!!

If you call in advance of getting to the motel, I will come and help you get your luggage to your room, I know you will be pushing it around without Ed's help. LOL

Yes, we are now in the single digits dance for leaving, hubby who is staying home is starting to say, Don't Go.

Bobbie, you will be fine once we have you on the ship, I would say with the DOD, but I know you don't drink, so how about with me holding the DOD. LOL

Lynne, you lucky girl, you get to start early, have fun in CA before getting on the ship.

Marie, you better get packing, I saw that table of stuff you need to get in the suitcase. LOL

I have a question for Marie or Chelle whichever sees this first. After we had the last itinerary change and we had to flip excursions AGAIN, we had an e-mail from someone and was told to print it as proof of confirmation. Well I couldn't print it as laptop is in for repairs.:(

 

I'm sure I saved it in my Miracle folder, but what I need to know is who is it from?:confused: Which excursion?

Bobbie, I believe that was island marketing for the Hilo outrigger/beach excursion, both Marie and I printed it, so I am sure we are good.

I am packed and good on weight, thank heavens

Can't wait!!!! We fly out of Chicago on Thursday the 17th. Where is everyone staying in LA (or Long Beach). We booked the Marriott at LAX airport but may switch to a hotel near the cruise port.

Some are staying at the Golden Sails Best Western and Others are at the Queen Mary both are in Long Beach.

Yes Lynne and Bobbie, we are getting there, my hubby is starting to act weird now, which is what he usually does before I leave. It's probably me getting too excited and him staying home (his choice), but it is what it is.

Ok, now have told Bill and Mae and the parents about our itinerary change made by Carnival

In saying this, if your lurking and you don't know about the itinerary change, there has been one. We are now going to Maui, Kona, Honolulu, Kauai, Hilo with some time changes also.

But as a friend has said, they are not going to stop flights, unless it is something on the lines of 911

we may be held up a bit longer for customs, and TSA

but we are always way early anyway so all is well

we will plan accordingly

Yes, we will get to Long Beach one way or another for sure.

One good thing for me, my small airport is less hassle then most for the first leg of the trip anyway.

I want to fly too (I think, you know I really do hate it:() or it's going to be a looooooooog drive for us...:eek

 

Another busy day for me...:( The good part about it is it the time goes faster....Bad part is my laptop is a mess and has to go in for repair.:(

 

I have to go to the Dr. (my turn now) for meds and a cause for the cold sores that I keep having.

 

I've taken zinc(thanks Chelle for suggesting it) used Carmex healing formula and abreva, plus chap stick....nothing works.:mad:

 

I can make my lips better but they will not heal completely...They have now started to scar in the corners of my mouth.:eek:

 

A man at Church suggested a script that his Dr. prescribed for him and he was well in 4 days....Off I go to the Dr.

 

Hawaii is next!!!!

I told Nick if we have to Chelle will drive here and we will drive to LA

But we are going!

By the time we get back those in DC will have done what they are going to do...

He can fly home (he has to be back to work) and Chelle and I will drive back.

So what is everyone else's Plan B? :D

Mom and Dad can drive too. Again, I want to fly. LOL

I`m joking, it will all work out (I hope) and before we know it we will be sailing away to Hawaii!!!

 

Again I hope...Seems now we have to worry about Govt. shut down, sequester, flights cancelled, ect, ect...:eek:

 

I must say this cruise has had more bumps in the road than all the other cruises put together that I have sailed on.:(

 

Ok, Bobbie you don't stress either, we have insurance if all else goes really bad.

I know what you mean, this cruise has really been interesting in just about everything.

It seems Carnival has changes up the ports on us once again???

Hilo and Kona switched dates and times

So this means if you are booked on Ricky's tour with us.

We will no longer be going on that tour

at least not the date we have had booked for a year.

yes 2nd time we have had to ask for a change...Arrrg

I have sent him a request to change it again, but at this late date, I don't know if he will be able to accommodate us.

I am waiting for him to reply to the e-mail so we will see.

All of our group who were booked should have also gotten the e-mail I sent him.

 

Can we just go already before Carnival changes something else PLEASE :o

I have usually have a whole suitcase of "just for fun" stuff. I'm glad I usually drive to port. When I fly I seriously have to re-think this.

Marie and I took 50 pounds of stuff for one of our group cruise to just give away and have fun. It really was one of our best Groups ever.

Today I am getting all my fun things together, post cards for fun, reminder cards for events, door decor of course, can't forget those beads, you know all the stuff you don't need but add to the fun.

True Chelle, but all that says is, you just don`t have to work as hard as I do to try and look good....

Not sure that is true really, just am not into all that stuff. LOL

Did you make a note of where you are going and put it in your luggage in case it gets lost and they need to open it to see if there is a clue of where to send it.

be it to the ship or you home.

I list both on that paper with the dates :)

The caller must be able to provide the following information on the passenger(s) they are trying to contact:

 

· Name of the person(s) to be contacted

· Name of the ship

· Date(s) of travel

· Booking Number

· Cabin Number

 

So be sure to leave this info for your friends/house sitter/family for Emergencies.

I did made all my pre-cruise appts. for Pedi, nails, spa, haircut, color, and ect. today... Now on that day I will be stressed trying to make those appts, tie up loose ends, drop fur kids to the kennel and get to my Ladies Bible class on time.

 

BUT will only be a few hours away from seeing and meeting all of you AND starting a Hawaii cruise....GOOD TIMES!!!!!!

Skipping everything on this list except the meeting all of you and starting a Hawaii cruise.

See day is already stress free for me. LOL

Yes, Bobbie, Marie had real sharp eye's and just plain would not let me or the parents not get some OBC when everyone else did.

I had given up, Marie just plain would not take NO for an answer one more time. LOL
