Does anyone else have a co-worker that expends more energy trying NOT to work than if they actually just DID THEIR JOB?... We've got one who shows up late every single day, then tries as hard as he can to coast through the day doing as little as possible. In over two years since he's been here, I can count on one hand the times he's been on time for work. Then, basically just hides out of sight of the big boss playing with his phone. Then, on top of that, criticises everything anyone else is doing... I've considered rolling in fifteen minutes late, just to see what the reaction would be. Meanwhile, people who are late EVERY DAY, no one even bats an eye... Rant over.........

I rarely post, but this hits home with me so very much. About half the people I work with does barely enough to get by!

    Good morning Tribe!

Despite currently residing in South Dakota I have many friends living in Florida and since we lived there for 40+ years I get news blubs.....what the heck is going on in that state with the "C" word!

I read an article this morning that there are no beds available in the Central Florida hospitals that patients are in the hallways being treated!  That's just crazy!

My concern is for our country and even more so for cruising that has started, sure hope this outbreak doesn't trigger another cruising halt.  It sure doesn't sound like we are heading in the right direction these days.  The world is spinning for sure!

Hoping to get out into the woods today and take some pics and enjoy the fresh air after our showers stop this morning!

It's not just Florida. I work ib a hospital in NC, and we are holding patients in the ER because there are no beds available. Seeing more than ever and mostly in young adults! Praying this wave passes quickly.

This morning, I logged into Facebook and my account was restricted... It was all over a meme that I posted over three months ago. I think that I even posted it here as well... They just have no sense of humor there... It was a stock photo of Jeffery Dahmer, and the caption said "nobody's going to tell me how many people I can have for Thanksgiving"... It was obviously commentary on Dr Fauchi's suggestion to not have Thanksgiving with your family...  They need to get the stick out of their butt and worry about something of substance......

follower here, not poster, but just had to tell you i have had several friends and family in FB jail. Last time my cousin was off for 7 days.

Apparently, I'm one of the last people in the world who pay their bills by sending a check in the mail...

  6. My DH is also a bacon lover who doesn't eat it often. He likes to make a sandwich. He explained and they brought this whole huge plate. He had more than enough for his sandwich. We were with family and we passed the rest around. Nothing went to waste.

Another time on a different cruise they just brought 3 orders of bacon (about 4 pieces in each. That worked out great to. Just order multiple orders. You can do it at dinner and breakfast!

I love eating breakfast in the MDR.

Thanks so much for the information. Just wondered if he could order all he wanted at one time.

  7. My husband smokes a pipe and purchases large bags of pipe tobacco and dries it himself in the oven to take the moisture out of the tobacco. My question is will there be a problem boarding with the open packs of pipe tobacco? I already know there is only one place on the ship for him to smoke. We will be on the Ecstasy in December celebrating our 25th anniversary.

  8. Yes and I will be for a while. I took 3600 photos on this trip and will be posting about 2000. The first day of the cruise is when I show photos of the entire ship so it takes a while. I'm presently at work doing a 10 hour shift. I try to post before, during my meal and after my shift. In fact I have posted every day since I started this review, even when Tracy had her birthday and when we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Tracy and I are in the process of painting the inside of our house since we may transfer next spring. Next week we are going away for two days and I'm planning to bring my laptop so I can continue to post, that is if Tracy doesn't put her foot down and tell me to put it away. Therefore I'm asking everyone who is following the review to be patient, I have always finished my reviews and I'm commited to finishing this one as soon as possible. Mike :)

I for one will be very sad when it is over. I enjoy each new post. Enjoy your time with Tracy, we'll still be here.

  9. I've been on 3 girls' only cruises and have a fourth one booked in January 2012. I love cruising with my DH, but I also love getting away with just the girls. By "girls", I mean women 50's to 70's.

With the girls, you can act silly, dance and have fun without the DH's rolling their eyes and thinking you have lost your mind!
