Cruised out of Port Canaveral in Dec, and Tampa in Nov, and you had to go to the counter to get your card! We'll be on a b2b on the Conquest next week, we'll let you know about Ft Lauderdale!
Conquest had the new way in December. Cards were in the mailbox when we got on.

This pretty much is the experience we had on the Valor on the Nov. 13 sailing. I can't comment on the buffet because we never went there, but the MDR food was good compared to some other ships we have been on recently. Also, the steakhouse was great.
However, I dispute the idea that Progresso is a ghetto. It is a typical Mexican town. We've been going there for over 20 years now and have watched the tourism side develop. We have walked the town from one end to the other visiting the local market, grocery store, city hall, main church, as well as having been to the beach numerous times. The people are friendly. Yes, they will offer you cheap massages every step of the way or invite you into their restaurants, but a pleasant no will suffice. On our cruise we walked around town, made some purchases in the market where the shuttle bus drops you off and we went to La Genuina for margaritas, salsa and chips and lunch. We had a great day in Progresso. On previous visits we have done the cheap double decker tour of the area, gone to Merida, Chichen Itza, Uxmal and to the all inclusive resorts. We have never had a bad day in Progresso.
Where is La Genuina? Would love to try it.

Sorry if this is a duplicate post... In December we stayed at the Hyatt Place. It was very convenient and close to the port, breakfast was wonderful (free) and rooms were nice and clean. I think I paid $168 for the room and 9 days of parking.

I was not sure where to put this, hope this is right place.
My husband and I are planning to go on a cruise on a Carnival ship out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale probably November this year (2018) and we will be driving down the night before the cruise and wanted to know if anyone has a decent hotel or resort they could recommend with a parking package and a shuttle to the port? We hope to be able to park our car there and be shuttled to port for our 8 day cruise , any suggestions are much appreciated, thank you so much.:)

Can you provide Crescensio's information? Would love to talk to him about tours for later this year.

quote=GeorgiaMomof4;53147085]We were back on the ship by 3:30 and would soon be sailing away from Cozumel.
I think I headed back to the cabin to take a short nap and cool off a bit before getting ready for dinner that night.
We went to dinner and again it was good. I really don't remember having anything bad on this cruise. I liked the menu better on this cruise than the one we took on the Magic in February.
I don't really remember what we did right after dinner but I do know we went to the Love & Marriage Show later on in the evening. It was fun as always. Chelsea had never been to one and she said it was hilarious. There were some really great couples up on stage - one couple had been married for 60 years! They were so sweet!
After the Love &Marriage Show we headed to the comedy club to finally try and catch as how. We finally got to see The Cowboy Comedian. He was funny, but the late shows are sometimes a little much for me. I'm not a prude by any means, I just don't care for some of the language and I always think the early "family friendly" shows are just as funny, but we didn't catch any of those on this trip.
After the show we all headed back to our cabins because it had been a very long day. We were looking forward to our sea day on Wednesday but were sad too because we knew we would soon be back to Mobile.
Can you provide us with Crescensio's information? Will be in Cozumel twice soon.

We were in 10262 on the Dream and LOVED it. It was so convenient! In fact, I'm thinking about booking the same cabin for December.
-
Did your balcony have loungers or just chairs? We're booked in 7450 for next December and am curious.
-
Thanks so much for all the pictures. We are sailing on her in December, and it's always nice to see current pictures.

I had a problem in December with AT&T while in port in NOLA. It was on the second leg of a back-to-back and I "assumed" that because we were docked I would be on AT&T. Needless to say, I will be extremely cautious next time!
-
I've got one booked as a Christmas present for my husband in January. If all goes well he won't know until he opens the box on Christmas morning. He isn't suspecting a thing since we have a back-to-back booked for December. I agree, it's hard keeping it a secret!
-
Tell me about the box in your room. Was it in the way like it is on the Elation?
-
You will love being on the Empress Deck. It's convenient to everything! We did a back-to-back on the Elation in December and were in E60. In fact, have another booked for January in the same cabin.
-
I was told that if you show boarding passes for both cruises you can bring on bottles for each cruise.
-
We stayed at the Radisson and it was fine. Really convenient! Would definitely do it again.
-
Thanks so much for your review. My husband and I are doing a B2B on her in December, and I read everything I can find about her. We cruised out of NOLA last December on the Dream and enjoyed it too, but decided to try the Elation this year.
-
Kim, LOVED the review, as usual! You keep us entertained and give wonderful information. Can't wait until the next one.
-
Check out Stay123. I've used them several times (NOLA, Tampa and Port Canaveral) and was very pleased.

Just emailed you Let me know your thoughts.

The sliders on Sea Day were amazing!!!!! Burgers the other days, not so great.
-
Seriously, I need to give you my cell number so you can text me on what we must do on the Elation. I'm really glad that we booked a B2B. Five days isn't enough!!
-
Not sure about Progreso either. Merida could be an option or just a day in town. I do have the Bar Hop booked for Cozumel leaving the second day in Cozumel open for visiting friends in town. Let me know if you come up with a MUST DO for Progreso.
-
Well there you have it my friends...my review is now complete. And it sucks because now I may actually have to do some work during the day :p :) ;)
I hope you all enjoyed my review....my next one will be from our KREWE cruise on the Carnival Elation on December 7th. That's unless I take another cruise between now and then. December is a long time away.....and I don't think I will make it until then :D
You may still continue to ask any and all questions about my cruise on the Breeze and I will do my best to answer them for you.
Thanks Again to everyone for reading my review and leaving such wonderful comments. These reviews are a lot of work but I know that I enjoy reading the reviews of others so its only right that I return the favor when I cruise
Thanks again for such a fun review!! Last year I was getting on the Dream as you were getting off and this year I will be doing a b2b on the Elation when you get off. I need to send you my cell number so you can text me things that I absolutely MUST do on the Elation. Have a great weekend!
