What is the earliest we can disembark the Discovery Princess in Long Beach on April 8th? 

Our flight will get us home too late to pick up our dogs and they'll have to stay until Monday.  

I'm not concerned about the extra boarding costs, just worried about my rescue dog who

was abandoned and spent months in a cage. I've been on about 35 cruises, but can't remember how 

early you could disembark if you carry your suitcases off the ship.

I'm not on package, but the gelato prices are so much less than in Las Vegas. One scoop of gelato is $9, nothing on top, just gelato.  Take my husband along and for two it's over a $20 bill.  I'm hoping to get gelato daily!

I got mine in the mail about a week before cruising.

I've had problems with my personal vacation planner as she never calls me back or answers my emails.  She begged me to allow her to book a casino offer as she can get me some extra goodies.  After waiting a a week and a half, bye, bye, I finally booked via the casino today as the deadline for the offer is the 30th.   

I also was on the Majestic last week.  The tables for two in the main dining room were distanced from each other, the larger tables were closer together.  We were never seated at anything but a table for two. 

We got off the Majestic Princess yesterday.  We all had to show our vax cards and negative Covid test taken 2 days before sailing to board the ship.  It seemed like everyone wore their masks, including staff, unless they were eating or drinking.  People obeyed the 6 to an elevator rule.  Everywhere there were staff cleaning and disinfecting. It seemed like every precaution was taken to keep everyone safe.  I did overhear a staff member say that one man was in quarantine, but that person was vaccinated.  It did seem really safe onboard.

I am constantly hearing from family and friends about why we should not cruise.  I've been on over 30 cruises and hear it every time, more so this upcoming cruise on the 11th.  If I hear the "floating petri dish" again, someone could get a mental punch from me.  Have you also heard the "you must be rich" to cruise?  We spend less cruising than people spend at Disney.  I usually don't tell people until I get home to avoid their comments.

Come to think of it, I don't remember the first two magazines either. 

Mine arrived a couple of days ago.  I didn't think they were sending them out anymore.

Thanks, John, I should have been clearer.  I wanted to know what company policy other travelers used. 

I always buy travel insurance through Princess, but I just realized that whomever took my booking, declined the insurance. 

I tried to buy it a lot of times, but the app wouldn't let me.  It was booked through the casino. 

I cruise a month from today and it's too late to buy the insurance. I tried.

Soooo, where else can I get travel insurance?

I'm platinum for a long time and I've never gotten a card or heard about the lounge.  Guess they were holding out on me...LOL.  

When I try to log in, I keep getting the more information needed form and then I get my information is incorrect.  My info has been the same for years.  I was finally able to log in using my booking number after two weeks of trying.  When I looked at what was included on my cruise, the casino money they'd promised me when I booked was missing. It was there the last time I checked.  Two weeks ago when I couldn't get in, they had me change my password three times.

We also buy ornaments from the different ports, it's so fun to see them on the tree, especially this year when we are stuck at home.

I'm also elite on Princess and I don't get any emails.  I get 2 or 3 a week from Carnival.  I just deleted 1800 emails because it seems everyone but Princess emails me.  

I've never had them give me cash.  It was always on my players care. Usually you have to go to the cashier to get it loaded onto your card.  Once you cash out of your machine,  your winnings go back on your card.  To actually cash out, you have to go to the cashier. 

We are booked on Princess for a Mexico cruise Jan.16th.  Our April 2020 cruise was canceled and we were offered so many goodies to rebook for January.  The closer it gets, the more I think we should cancel and rebook, but I will probably lose all my freebies.  Husband says if it sails, he's going, but if I cancel, he stays home.  

I recently checked and saw a LOT of unsold cabins on this sailing and I doubt most of them will be sold.  I don't want to board my dogs and be stuck on a ship if there is a shipboard outbreak.  

I don't see how we can get a vaccine by them and be assured it will work.  

I keep dreaming of the ocean while staring at the same walls at home!

We haven't really decided what we want to do.  I still want to go on a cruise, but it doesn't look like it will be happening this year.  I haven't gotten any info back on my FCC, and it's been 2 and a half months.  Guess if I know I have it, I'll want to book eventually when the virus is gone or when we have a vaccine. 

I am hoping we can save up and go to Italy to visit family and another Mediterranean cruise.  It's on the radar. Probably won't happen. 

Or we might take a road trip to Sedona.  We did a cross country road trip last year and I am NOT in the mood

for another this soon.  😉  

What I really want to do is get out of the house!! My husband had open heart surgery in Dec. and we've been basically quarantined since then.  Luckily I can work from home, but dang, I need out of here!

I was on hold for about 40 minutes.  It took another 45 minutes to sort things out.  

The rep says that things are changing every hour and that "Princess has our back".

I booked through the casino and was told that the offer I booked under (which expired)

would be honored to rebook until 12/31/2020.   Rep named Susan was amazing, definitely

grace under pressure.  She deserves a raise.

You have thousands of hungry people who were expecting to hit the buffet hours ago when they boarded. Some skipped breakfast.  Someone is going to try and leave.

This is the best trip review I've ever read. (And I've read a lot of them!)  I felt like I was sailing along with you.  Thanks for all the pics, the menu's and the reviews of the food and ship.   I enjoyed every line!

Princess Cays looks a bit different than last year. The water was so rough when we were there that it knocked me down and ground sand in my bathing suit.  I can't get it out....free souvenir! 😁 Now I'm excited for my cruise in April!

I am taking a wait and see attitude. We are booked to cruise to Mexico in April and I'll be disappointed if we have to cancel because we both really need a vacation.  One travel agent on the local news says Mexico and areas south should be OK since the virus isn't there yet.  Hmmm....I'm not sure I agree because one person on a ship from Wuhan infected a lot of the people on the Diamond. We've purchased the insurance, I guess I need to check if it's Platinum insurance or not. 

I'm concerned about the virus.  I saw on the news tonight that the USA isn't as prepared as some of the other countries. The president says it's under control, but some of CDC says they need more money and time to make it happen.  

I'm also worried about Italy, since I have a lot of family in the region that's infected. 

My antivirus on my computer just sent me a message that hackers are sending out emails about the corona virus to panic people.  It says if you get one delete it.
