  1. For those interested in the Mexican vanilla. We have purchased vanilla in the border towns and were told always buy the bottles that has a picture of a cock on the label. I've not had a problem and it is good vanilla.

  2. The night spraying you are referring to that was done to eradicate bad infestations was not solely in southern ca. WE had choppers flying all over in northern ca. We lived in the bay area from 60's thru 90's. I believe you could say the complete state was sprayed. The aroma when you opened the door in the mornins, was terrible.

Have a happy cruise...it won't be long now.

  3. Thank you for the comments regarding foods taken off the the ship. We have been cruising since 1985 and that was the understanding back then. I was curious to know what the outcome of those discussions were, maybe those were some of the people the dogs culled out.

  4. I have been searching for the discussion that because most of their ports are in u.s.a. that it was okay to take snacks off the ship. Maybe it was taken down, but really curious since that sounded feasable. Another passenger mentioned medical reasons for taking foods off ship. Does anyone know the outcome? We were always under the impression that it's a nono.

  5. First time in Princess, the cruise I've ever done I had the option of giving the gratuities people directly, will it be possible to do so in Ruby PrTippingincess?

Tipping is a very personal decision. I always prefer the option to thank those that go above and beyond.

  6. Through out the years I find it is gratifying to be able to tip individuals personally instead of through the Computer process . I like the personal touch. I sailed on Princess and Celebrity with this in mind and they were happy to accomodate. Does anyone know if this courtesy is still in place?
