  1. We booked this year's Alaskan Explorer on Zaandam just 2 months in advance and all of the summer itineraries still had space left, and we had plenty of cabin choice left on our sailing.

Cruise lines really play with inventory, so don't worry too much about it.

Group or touroperator reservations can block large amounts of cabins that they may not claim in the end. And cruiselines also shift people around and limit certain availability, or allocate cabins to specific markets.

If you are ok with 'any' cabin that is, if there is something particular you want like a top-level suite they tend to go soon and sold is sold.

It's a great itinerary, you will love it.

  2. HI there,

Since it's in my country I will tell you what I would do.

There's a metro stop 5 min away from the terminal that takes you to the main train station.

From there you can take one of many direct trains to Schiphol.

If I'd feel lazy I would take a taxi from the terminal to the trainstation.

    Hope that helps!

  3. Hi there,

We are new to RCCL and I was wondering whether they still have the Port Explorer guides, and how they are distributed.

We've done only different cruise lines so far and the port information ranged from none to quite detailed. I don't mind compiling some information myself, but if it's just available on board it would be a waste of time.

    Thanks!
