No clue how it works...but I was able to text everyone on ship and back home that had iPhones via iMessage. In airplane mode with no added fees except the standard social media package fee.

Did you watch the video about how easy it is to break into your house while your gone on vacation? especially after you came onto cruise critic and told the world the days you'll be gone.

Years ago we did b2b to earn Platinum status before they made it "days at sea" instead of number of cruises. They gave us platinum perks and card on the first leg. Even though we didn't reach it until the 2nd.

Lizzie! My husband, myself, and a small group of friends will be on this sailing as well! Eeek! I am thrilled beyond words for this one! We are coming in two days early to do all the "must see's" of NYC. We snagged a Holiday Inn - Wall Street for $250 a night. I went back and forth too about the room cost, but ultimately came to the decision that this will probably be our only trip up there, and want to experience it to the fullest.
