  1. I was on Princess in November and felt fine when I boarded. 5 days into a 10 day cruise I was barking like a seal. All OTC meds were sold out, and it seemed like half the ship was coughing. Ended up seeing my Doctor when I got home and was diagnosed with bronchitis.

  2. We are booked on the Freedom for January 10, 2015 in two spa deck rooms. We keep getting upsell emails to a junior suite (although none are listed as available). We see that there are still at least 12 Ocean Suites available. The amount they want is ridiculous (as far as I am concerned) but has anyone had any luck with a counter offer. I would take 2 of them if the price was right.:D

  3. I currently have 68 points. I am thinking on going on a 7 night cruise in February 2015. I will achieve Platinum on the 7th night....will I be platinum this cruise, or will I have to wait for the next. (Darn, it would be my 10th cruise also).

  4. Well I just checked my insurance and it turns out we cannot get our money back for our airfare because Carnival deciding to change this around is not a covered expense and we are just out the money. If they went out of business, or weather caused them to cancel or if mechanical problems caused them to cancel it would be covered. But not in this cause. Don't you just love insurance companies? We are being changed from a 7 day cruise to a 5 day cruise and we have no coverage. Really great. Thanks a lot Carnival!

Not sure if this is similar but when our Splendor cruise was cancelled, Carnival gave us and OBC up to $300 per person for change fees associated with airfare changes. We just had to send in emails/invoices showing the airfare change fees.

  5. We have done seven Celebrity cruises in the past four years, including a TA last May.

Celebrity is a class cruise line, they aren't pushy selling photos or promotions. The average X cruiser is well traveled and good company on a cruise. People have fun, but never see anyone getting out of hand or falling over intoxicated.

The entertainment, food and service is consistently good. We did a lot of wine tastings on our TA and enjoyed the fitness center.

Here are some of my reviews on cc.

  6. The latest 123 promo does not offer the beverage

packages on transatlantics. We were lucky enough

to have the package on our TA last November.

I"THINK"?? it's because with all the sea days there

is a lot more alcohol consumed vs port days.

Thanks, I actually wanted to purchase the beverage package but it said it was unavailable.

  7. Just booked a 15 night Transatlantic October 31, 2015. Have only cruised Carnival and Princess. Had originally booked Princess, but this cruise was 1/2 the price and very similar. We are not really foodies, but enjoy beer and the simpler things in life. Is Celebrity for me? Tried to book the beverage package but it said it wasn't available? Is the cruise too far out? Tried to book anything just to get pricing and nothing was available?

I hope I didn't get myself into something that I won't be comfortable on....what are your thoughts Celebrity cruisers?

  8. I am currently Gold as I have one 7 night cruise that I have completed. I have a 10 night cruise booked for October 2014 which will bring me to 17 nights. I have a TA booked for 19 nights in November 2015. This will bring me to 36 nights about 2/3 of the way through. Would my level change or would the next cruise I take be Ruby? I know its kind of irrelevant, was just curious.;)

  9. I am looking at Island Princess Rooms E208 or E207 which are between regular balcony rooms and Ocean View rooms. Cannot for the life of me figure out what makes them Obstructed balconies except maybe they are a little set back from the ocean view room in front. They are no where near lifeboats or anything like that.

Does anyone know what makes the obstructed?
