Hi
We are sailing on Explorer of The Seas out of Southampton on 23rd May and we are taking our 7 1/2 month old daughter with us. We depart from the City Cruise Terminal and I just had a few questions about the port/terminal:
- Does the terminal have baby changing facilities?
- how long roughly does the whole check-in/boarding process take from main entrance to being on board?
- Is the parking in Mayflower Park free or do you have to pay? if so how much?
thanks

OMG! I was going to say the same thing about them! We just got off the Adventure 2 weeks ago and saw them! We asked our waiter and he told us they live on the Adventure for 9 months out of the year. Apparently one or both of them owned/own casinos in Europe.
I've heard of this couple before, I seem to remember some one who had spoken to them saying they are both from Denmark but hate flying so they sail over on the Westbound TA and stay on board every cruise in the Caribbean and then come back on the Eastbound TA.

When we go on Vision of The Seas on September 7th we plan to get a taxi which is about £30 - £35 one way.

the view looks amazing!! i assume those rooms go fast on the TAs :)
The photos don't do it justice. The aft rooms go very quickly. We booked 19 months in advance.

@ alaska_planner from our balcony (deck 9) all you could hear was the calming sound of the wake. I don't know about the lower decks but when we were walking around promenade deck (deck 5) you could hear the engines when you were at the back of the ship but that was the only time.

We were on the Westbound Liberty TA last year and we were told there were about 100 children on board, you hardly noticed them amongst the 3,721 passengers on that sailing. I think I probably saw about 10 kids in the whole 2 weeks.
As far as balconies go they are absolutely worth it (at least on the westbound) and if you can get an aft balcony the view is awesome

Fingers crossed, we thought they were only on the balconies-- 1700 and 1400 because they were much larger balconies......we had #1700 on a B2B. Part is totally encased in steel in the corners.......so hope you do!!! Sure made no sense on our TA why we did not have them.
When you were in 1700 did you notice if 9704 directly below had the loungers?

Hi Everyone,
I was just looking for your opinions on Royal Caribbean vs Celebrity cruises.
We have only ever cruised with Royal Caribbean as we really enjoy everything about them, but have recently been looking around at different cruises in terms of pricing and destinations and Celebrity keeps coming up.
I am 30 and my wife is nearly there too ;) so we just wanted to know what others thoughts were. The pro's and con's of each cruise line.
I will be posting this in the Celebrity forum as well.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts! :)

That's good to hear, we had heard many things about the views and want a good balcony that we can spend a lot of time on enjoying the view as we'll be at sea for a week!

I've booked the Aft cabin 9704 on Liberty of The Seas for our Transatlantic Cruise next year and have read many reviews that seem to be either really positive saying that you get great views and a larger balcony but also bad reviews about soot on the balconies and the superstructure getting in the way
I just wanted to know if these are real benefits and real problems?

Hi can anyone tell me the pros and cons of taking a pushchair with us on board, we will also be taking a carrier. Are you allowed a pushchair everywhere on the ship? How easy is it to get on and off the ship with them at each port? Is there any thing else we need to take into consideration?
Thanks
Paul
