We've sailed the Magic 3 times, twice in Lido Balconies 10223 and 10241. We love the location and how close you are to the fun of the Lido Deck. We just booked a cruise on the Freedom and it is a Lido Balcony.
-
235 and counting!!!!
-
Our first time on the Freedom will be for New Years Eve, looking forward to your review.
-
My wife Janet and I will also be doing the NYE cruise. We really dont know what to expect.

273 Days- New Years Eve on the Freedom.
-
We always stay at "The Inn at the Waterpark", free parking, shuttle to terminal and back. They even have covered parking spaces. we will be using them for our cruise this new years eve.
-
Use Bungi cord to hold door open. Wrap around the door handle and the railing on side of balcony.
-
We bring a bungi cord with us, like to listen to the water.

Congratulations, Hope ya enjoy your cruise! I am personally at 10 days till we set sail on the Magic, get to do my single digit dance in about 14 hours. Super excited!!!

Ours on the Magic 11/8/15 was confirmed in just a couple hours.

Is there a known list of carnival ships that will tell you when each one is scheduled for dry dock? I was just on the magic and it was rumored to be going into dry dock in two weeks but where to find that info? It's not a good experience cruising with an entire ship of employees at the end of their contracts and we also heard it was already 20% less employees (some had already ended their contracts). I would like to avoid this in the future. Employees that are tired, overworked (because they are short handed) and ready to go home after 7 months (typical contract) is not meant for good service.
This is interesting, We are scheduled to sail The Magic in 23 days, 11/8/15. I would hope the reduction of work force would not take away from the quality of cruising that we've enjoyed on past Magic cruises.

We stay at the "Inn at the Waterpark in Galveston". They are a park and cruise with a covered parking and a shuttle to and from the terminal. They are very accommodating.

Cant wait to read the rest of your review, we also are sailing the Magic on November 8th. Our third time on the Magic, but its been about 2 years since we last sailed her and I know things have changed.

Yes we've loved our Lido Deck balcony for 4 cruises, then I made the mistake of upgrading to a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony on our last cruise now wifey think that's were we need to be. She loves going to the spa several times a day. You cant go wrong with a Lido deck balcony.

This is always the port that we use to go into the local stores and straw markets and buy all the gifts that we take back to our 6 kids and 15 grandkids. They all think they want us to bring them back something and we always do. So we shop then find a nice place to eat and get back on ship for an afternoon nap(wore out from carrying all the bags of gifts she bought) then get ready for the nights activities.

I am looking for recent fun times for the Magic 7day to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. Would love to do some prior planning such as what night is formal night and other events so I can plan when to go to steakhouse. Thanks for your help!!!

We booked a 7 day cruise on the Magic on November 8th and got our FTTF for $49.95. So not really sure where the difference lies.

Cruisin on the Magic 11/8/15, booked on 2/4/15, FTTF was available on Thursday 2/19/15 at about 8am
If you had it to do over, what would you pack?

We always are in a balcony stateroom, so we always pack a small set of binoculars with us, and seem to use them quit often. Hope this helps!!
