  1. Back in the day  probably about 15 years ago we cruise with Carnival and we’re allowed to use the spa showers even though we weren’t having a spa treatment. Do you know if they still allow cruisers to do that? We will be on Sunrise. Thanks!

  2. I didn't receive an answer before we departed but decided to go anyway. The day at LFK was the highlight of our vacation. We didn't spend much time with the animals as the water was so unbelievably perfect that we didn't want to get out. Our server did mention that the big animals were on the mainland due to a recent storm that stressed them, but I am wondering if the truth was something different. No worries to us, as mentioned there was enough other fun to be had

We decided to pay as we went rather than purchasing the lunch package which was fine since we had a hearty breakfast before leaving ship. Finding the drivers was easy as we exited the port gates. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the drive was about 20 ishminutes. We were in car by ourselves, they did it wIt to fill up a van as many tours do. We did see several others from our ship on the island as well.

There was a big group of performers from a carnival ship that were enjoying the day as well.

Would not hesitate to go again, but would keep an eye out to see if there is continuing government issues.

We are going on our cruise next week and even though we have been to Roatan many times we have not ever been to LFK. I see you said you did the pay as you go? How much was that? Tha cheapest I see on their site is $88 but includes lunch. I am wondering if there is a less expensive option since we typically eat before we leave the boat and when we return. Thanks!

  3. Just off the Carnival Miracle from last weeks 6 day cruise, and our 7y/o son loved the camp. He met a bunch of new friends his age and always wanted to go back. Still had lots of time to enjoy the pools and the arcade in between his camp times. I kept calling it Camp Carnival, but it's been renamed as Camp Ocean. I have the complete 6 day itinerary is anyone is interested in seeing the daily activities and times. I am not sure I can post it here, but I have it scanned as a .pdf and can email it if you want. Send me a request to sparky dot sirk at gmail dot com, I'd be happy to send the information. Bottom line, it was a great time for the kids and a nice break for the parents to have some adult time and not worry about them.

We are going on Miracle in 17 days with our 9 yr old. I do believe you can post the info here as I have been searching all night and have seen many post them. If not my email is purelypersonalizedgifts@gmail.com I am very interested to know the hours of camp ocean as we usually sail on NCL. Are they open all day or do they close for certain hours. Thanks! :)

  4. I read somewhere if you just go there and pay to eat/drink they let you stay without the above fees. Is this true? I don't so much care about the water activities we just want to swim in the pool, relax and go in the ocean.

Does anyone know if this is true? Also are there any other places anyone would recommend for us? We are just laid back want to relax and be in water kind of people.

Also, is there a place any one knows of in PV? That will be our other stop on our cruise.

    Thanks!

  5. I was looking to possibly go to the ME Cabo Resort for the day when our ship is in port March 20th 2017. However, it looks like it may be a party crowd (which I am NOT looking for) It will be myself, husband ( we do not drink) and our 9 yr old daughter. We just want to relax by the pool and/or the beach and not have to be in the middle of a spring break party where everyone is drunk, swearing and acting like idiots. Is there any place like this is cabo? We have only been 1 other time and that time we just went and put our towels down on the beach (closer to the port area) where there we not as many rowdy people. But, this time we would like to go to a resort if possible. Thanks!

  6. I am booking on RC for the first time. We usually sail on Norwegian. I am looking to book an oceanview room on Oasis of the Seas but the only rooms available are at the very, very front of the ship. I am wondering if I will get motion sickness there or if there is anything else I should be worried about in that area (noise from the anchor etc) Is a lower deck or higher deck better? I can choose from decks 7, 8 or 9 all the rooms are in the same spot though. Thanks!

  7. We have been there many times and its our fav port! We always just taken the bus over and found a spot when we get there. All the restaurants are lined up right next to eachother. Some charge for chairs some dont. I never reserve anything because I like to feel things out when I get there. Meaning my husband and I are in our mid to late 30's but do not want to be around partying loud people or crazy kids. Even though I have a 6 yr old that we have brought before we are laid back and just want to sit on the beach and relax in peace as much as and let our daughter play and we also get a massage while there. So we kind of just go and scope out who is where and then decide where to sit. Its all the same beach, all beautiful and the restaurants to me all seem to be quite similar but Im not crazy picky over that. My only suggestion is to pay attention to what you order as out of the 3-4 times we have been there (always to different restaurants) we have always been charged "accidentally" for something extra whether it be an extra drink or whatever. Other then that we LOVE it there! Enjoy!

  8. I personally would NOT walk. It CAN be done but I wouldnt, I think its to far. I understand what you are saying about lugging the car seat but just take the bus and put the baby on your lap. The bus is out of the back of the shopping complex. They sell tickets for like $3. Now with that being said you may be thinking you would never put your child in a moving vehicle without a car seat and I totally understand I am the same way with my child and I worked in accident investigation for a city police dept for 11 years so I DO NOT take this lightly. However you are taking a 2 lane road to get there maybe a 7 min ride if that on a road where there is barely any traffic. Only other taxis are on the road, you are not driving through any type of populated area at all

I honestly do not even drive in a parking lot here in the US without buckling my daughter into her seat but we have driven on the bus there and a taxi back 3 or 4 times in Costa Maya with no worries. But if you feel strongly about it you are not walking that far with the car seat to get to the bus and then from the bus to the beach area. The bus only takes you though you have to take a taxi back to the port. Hope this helps and have fun! Costa Maya is our fav port! The beach is awesome and even when the water was rough where the boat was docked it was not at Majahual its beautiful! Do however keep track of what you drink and what food you eat, everytime we have went they always try to charge us for an extra drink etc even though we have went to a different place on the beach everytime so just keep track because they do try to be slick and slip something extra in :) Also, do get the massage for $20ish an hour!
