Booked for 6/11, 5 nighter. Couldn't resist it for $595 total for ocean view . Even a small cabin at sea is better then our larger living room on land.

Down to 1...Explorer of the Seas
-
Currently sitting in terminal waiting to board Explorer. Brought 2, 1.5 liters bottles of wine with me in a packing case from A.H. Riise on St thomas . X-ray screener asked what was in the box. Told him 2 bottles of wine. He placed it on belt, went through machine, I picked it up and went to check in counter. Looks like no problem here so far today.:D

For all my fellow wine drinkers sailing out tomorrow on the explorer, what time should we meet at guest services to get our wine back? :D
Yes how do you avoid a corking fee if the bringing your own corkscrew is not permitted? Can you bring your own corkscrew on board?
Cabin attendant will open it for you, no charge. -
I just called royal. Was told 2 bottles per cabin. Corkage fee applies to bar or dining venues, not in cabin. Cabin attendant will open bottles for no fee. Claimed all their port personnel have been informed . Had no info on bringing it carry on / checked luggage and website has not been updated as of yet.

I never understood why people replied the way they do in these threads when I first signed up but it has really become clear. For a clear and simple way of understanding things...18+ equals adult, while 17 and below does not. Why must half the people posting questions seem to want exceptions made for their kids? If something is described as an adult activity it means just that.

Hi, My family were on the Explorer in March of 2011. We had a waiter, on dining level 3, named Jayesh. I am pretty sure that is the spelling of his first name. He would announce dessert time as " yummy yummy time" and would make cute duck noises on the nights there was duck on the menu. He was also a supervisor during breakfast in the wind jammer. He would be all decked out in his white supervisor outfit. Does anyone have a last name for him? He said he had facebook and we would really like to find him. The kids loved their dining experience largly thanks to him.
