  1. Please please be very careful taking elderly on board if they are of the frail nature. We had a very elderly couple on one trip.....they had no idea where their cabin was ,,,(It looked like it had been arranged by those who booked the cruise (there was noo way these old folk would have known what they were doing) but princess put up the biggist ribbon flower on their door to help.

They were too old to even open the cabin door...they turn up for breakfast...well one did and then not eat...3 days into the cruise the lady took a fall and next port they dissapeared off the ship...

They elderly man was lost standing outside the lift..turned out he needed to visit his wife in the medical center...but had no idea how to work the lifts....even with his wife lying on the floor in her cabin he wanted us to help...so hubby went in only to find Drs all ready there...

Please if your sending a elderly frail person on a cruise be with them all the way so they too can have a happy memory...

  2. I really must get Linda moving on this.

We have 3 tours organised in Beiging, and then just winging it.

Haven't booked any excursions, will prob do today.

Our problem is we cant sustain any-more than 4 hrs touring, due to medications and tiredness, and cant cope with overcrowded groups for long periods of time.

That's why we will probably wing it again on excursions, although the ship docks along way from attractions, but I'm sure, we can experience fun things close to ship, esp hong-kong,vietnam and japan.

China will be fun,god forbide, well prob end up in some gulag.

Just cancelled terracotta warriors, its to far.

As for upgrades, its a dream, that wont happen even if offered, other half has to have a dark cabin.

What company are you using for Visas.

Anyways will prob see yas in beiging,im sure we will all run into each other, and establish, who the weirdest is.(lol).

    Going to be fun.

    Yours Traci.

    Lol

Yeah it is hard to pick and choose tours to suit....

I have decided not to get off on the second stop in Veitnam.....its too much for me so hubby is doing the Delta river on his own....

Our tours are mostly booked through Princess this time as I didnt want to stuff everyone up if i got sick...(Im on the mend lol its just going to take time to heal)..

I have trouble with heights..sometimes IM OK but there is never any guarantee...glas lifts are not my friends.....

We did our visa online and just printed them off and need to send them

  3. Mrs and Mrs

Our Visas are ready to post.....its a big job....eck hope mine goes through smoothly. ...last time they rang us up because we didn't fellow have the right info....gulp...All they wanted was a copy of our medicare card lol.....I think it's because I'm not Australian.....so we provided that this time and will see what happens.....

Also we don't have any set schedule for Beijeng for the 7 days there....

  4. We have stayed there....on George several times pre cruise....We like the fact that we can walk straight from central. ...to there...All down hill....We didn't cook in the room.....but we did go to China town....food court top end...They have front and back entrance to hotel which helps also a hair dressing shop just up the street which was great for hubby......For $10 he got a tidy up.....We don't mind the break free on Gorge. ..

  5. Recently we discovered If you miss ports because of whatever reason.....A cruising policy could cover that....Some others may not. ...every policy is different and you need to do what you are doing and read and choose carefully......Some cover different excursions too....have fun

No....that come the night before...it wasn't brought to there attention untill we filled outvthe disembarkment form.....and ticked the box In Transit......they rang us up...and asked us why we ticked it....so we said because we are....then they asked to see our paperwork the next day.... We did not book them together so had different booking numbers.... No problems after we showed them the paperwork....
