  1. I think SOS is WAY overpriced but if everybody hypes SOS I am hoping for some good deal on the older ships (which we like better anyway).....

$2366.76 for OV Balcony is a great price! I booked on Tues night. To each his/her own. Been on Oasis twice, Liberty twice, Harmony on Saturday and Symphony on her inaugural TA to her home in Miami. I LOVE the Oasis class ships!

  2. I just called and they said that the balconys were starting at like 8k...

Well I think what's happening is what I took advantage of on my upcoming Harmony of the Seas cruise. I booked it back onboard Liberty in June 2015 and the 30/30/30 sale was going on so it was a true 30% off Harmony for a few days before they jacked the prices up like they usually do and then it was your typical RCCL sale of 30% off an inflated 30% increase. Right now Symphony is a legit 30% off. Just Emerald member here but I got it all-in for $2366 and my father and his wife who are Gold paid $2525 all in and both of us have Oceanview Balconies on Deck 9. The website has been acting weird..it took several times for us to be able to book but I didn't see any Balcony prices at $8K! That's crazy!

  3. Just booked Symphony of the Seas. It leaves Barcelona on October 28th & arrives Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 9th. I'm surprised that I was able to get in to book this(y) Crown & Anchor can book today.

Same here! Just booked the Symphony TA on 28 October from Barcelona. I thought it was a great deal being a brand new ship on its maiden voyage to the US..paid only $2366 including taxes/fees and the Emerald Balcony discount (just me solo in an Oceanview Balcony). My father and his wife booked as well so I'm excited for my first TA! 599 days to go...haha!

  4. I'm trying to figure the dining plans. We have early seating for the MDR all week. We are considering the BOGO 2-night package where you have to eat in specialty restaurants on night 1 AND 2. From previous cruises on Oasis back in 2012 and 2013, I know that then 1yo could not be sat by the Royal Tots folks as that didn't start until Day 2. Does anyone know if that's changed? Will my 5yo and 2yo have to eat with us in the specialty restaurants on night 1 or will the Aquanauts be open for my 5yo and the Royal Tots be open for paid sitting for my 2yo? Thanks in advance!

  5. Just going by past years the "sales" we're their usual sales although they excluded new ships and China itineraries. Symphony will probably be excluded from sales if they follow past history.

Hint. Watch every sale for the next 6 months or do and what the prices for Symphony are. With Harmony they did not artificially raise Harmony's prices on the first sale that she was not excluded from leading to great deals for about a one week period until they started raising prices.

That is true as Harmony was included in the 30/30 sale back in June/july 2015 when we booked for this upcoming Spring Break cruise on 11 March. We paid $3900 including taxes for Oceanview Balcony which then soared to a high of over $6000 at one point...crazy stuff.

  6. The price is $0.00 for adults and $39.00 for kids. I have a 5 and 2 yo and am sailing on the 11 March Harmony cruise. It says there's a minimum 48" height requirement and minimum age of 4 years. The restriction doesn't make sense because why would there be a restriction to take pictures and walk? Also, the water park has only a 48" height requirement if the child is not accompanied by an adult. Since the adult is free does that mean my wife and I can do the waterpark with our 2yo free of charge and only pay the $39.00 for my 5yo or does that mean I have to purchase water park admission at $19.75 for my wife and I (2yo should be free regardless) and if so, how do you match up times? RCCL hasn't been of any use like has been reported here and my wife and I would love to book this for my 5yo because she'd love it but I don't have enough information to book :(

  7. There's a reason my nickname in college was Slumber Queen. OK, one of many nicknames. Yes, the bed was dang hard. Never been an issue before and I still slept just fine. But I will be requesting a topper in the future. I did notice a big difference.

I enjoy pictures too but I swear go look at Cuizer2's pictures and pretend they're mine.

Who do you call to request a mattress topper ahead of time? I'd rather ask for one for my JS than chance it being rockhard.

  8. Hi! We are going to book a specialty restaurant one night on Liberty. Does anyone know the current menu order so we can pick the night?

    Thank you!

If your itinerary is the Roatan/Costa Maya/Cozumel one, the order is below. I'm not sure on the Grand Cayman/Jamaica/Cozumel one but I believe you just switch the Basil and Jasmine and that would be it but don't quote me for sure on that one.

    Mojo

    Safron

    Shiitake

    Pimiento

    Basil

    Jasmine

    Pomodoro

  9. Yes there is an 18% gratuity included in the drink and food package but you don't pay it on the free offer. It is truly free. We just did it. No hidden charges.

Interesting because when I have priced NCL I have noticed service charges added to the cost in the breakdown section of the mock booking if I choose the beverage package etc. as a "freebie". If you don't select a "freebie" the cost is lower so it definitely isn't "free". It isn't hidden either since it is listed in the cost breakdown section of any mock booking.

  10. Hello

If one books top of line cabins, ie suites, they should get the equal or best treatment regardless of their status.

Who or what is Super Mario??

He's a RCCL lifer. He spends about 50 weeks a year on RCCL ships so he's a RCCL celebrity and they treat him well. I saw in an article he spends about $70K a year on cruises. He has something like 850 cruises in the last 20 years and runs his business from the ship.

  11. Not unless you are Pinnacle.

Have quite a ways to go until Pinnacle! Will make Platinum on my next cruise and then in July I will make Emerald so I can only aspire to Pinnacle but that's a LONG way off :)

Royal has not announced any plans to bring the Suite Class Experience and its benefits beyond Oasis and Quantum class ships

I had a feeling that was the case but just thought I would check with people that knew. Thanks!
