  1. My parents will be sailing the NCL Pearl to Alaska and will be visiting these ports. I am wondering if there's anything in the port areas? Any shops, and if each of them is within the reasonable walking distance to the "main" area? In other words, if they don't join any excursions, is there anything for them to do to occupy them for a couple hours?

  2. What is the best way? We don't want to join the ship's excursion(will be on ncl breakaway in November) but also not sure about riding on a taxi without car seats. Best option will be a shuttle type of transportation - does anyone have recommendations or suggestions? We would like to be there for about 3 hours or so only and our ship arrives at noon.

  3. How far is Atlantis from the pier? We have two little ones and if we take taxis I assume there will be no car seats, right? Also, is it easy to grab a taxi at Atlantis back to the ship? We plan to spend only about 3 hours or so there at most. Can I get tickets to the aquarium when we get there?

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the Hilton. Will my parents be able to walk there themselves from the pier and is it safe area to walk around with?

Finally, any conch fritters within walking distance from the pier?

  4. What is it like? We will be on the breakaway with my parents and my two young children. We plan to go to the Aquarium(only) at the Atlantis, but my parents are not too interested. Wondering if they can get just get off the ship and walk around.

Also, should we just grab a taxi to Atlantis, or should I hire a car? We won't be there for more than 2-3 hours, and plan to get tickets when we get there. Should I buy tickets online instead? I have trouble finding those information online, specifically Atlantis' own website. Is the dig = aquarium?

  5. These questions have probably been asked before but couldn't find the info I need via some quick search.. Any help will be appreciated!

    1. Will they be able to provide a pack n play on board, or should I request ahead of time?

    2. How likely can we watch the big shows once on board? I was trying to make a reservation and there's only few options left.

    3. I was also trying to make dinner reservations for a big group of 8 but also was given very limited choice. How easy will we be able to get tables on the day of?

We will be on the BA in mid-November.
