  1. We are sailing on the Infinity next Sunday, Mar 13th. We booked an Ocean View GTY and a few weeks later received a call from Celebrity offering us a veranda for $75 pp or an AQ for $150 pp. We took the veranda because of the location. I had asked the person who called if an aft cabin was open. He said that they always sell quickly, which I knew, but it never hurts to ask. Last week I went into our reservation to make sure all was in order and to my delight and surprise, we were upgraded to a C1 aft cabin. Someone must have cancelled at the last minute. We are Elite on Celebrity and I booked on line. DOn't know if any of this makes a darn bit of difference. I assume that the rep who called maybe noted that I had inquired about an aft cabin. Seems that loyalty and luck pay off on occasion.:)

  2. I bring magnetic clips and hang all my paperwork on the wall for the next day at night. I agree that comfortable shoes and an over the body purse are important for comfort and safety. Take time to sit and relax for a bit while on your excursion either in the van or when you stop for a break. I also pack a very small first aid kit with a few bandaids, small packet of anti biotic salve and antiseptic wipe. Fits easily in my purse. Enjoy each port and read a little before hand. I used Rick S Mediterranean port guide. You will love this cruise!

  3. We were on that same TA on the Equinox in Nov 2012. There was one night that really was rough and Airbalancer is correct in the fact that several balcony windows were broken and the ship was rocking and rolling . Our cabin was on Deck 7 and everything on the desk rolled onto the floor. But, this happened in the Med between Italy and France. The captain tried his best to avoid the storm, but it was a dilly. The remainder of the cruise was very smooth and the Atlantic was far calmer than we had expected. We will be sailing on our 2nd TA this November and we are looking forward to it.

  4. We also used Rome in Limo for our tour in Rome. Our driver, Mike, was fabulous, on time to pick us up at the port, full of history, great sense of humor, patient with 6 ladies, great place for lunch. We also used Julia as a guide in the Vatican and highly recommend her as well.

  5. My first cruise was on the Carnival Holiday. She was brand new and we decided to try cruising. We booked an inside cabin due to budget constraints and were near the bow(that was the last inside for me). You could hear the creaking with each pass over a wave. We were seated at a table for 4 and couldn't stand our table mates, but didn't have the foggiest notion that we could ask to change. With all that being said, we were hooked and the great addiction began. I loved it so much that I became a travel agent in the mid 90's and retired a few years ago.
