We are scheduled to sail on Sunday with our flight leaving in the am. I feel much better now than I did 2 hours ago. Now I can sleep.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
CARNIVAL LIBERTY
SEPTEMBER 13, 2015
September 10, 2015
Hi there!
We know you must be looking forward to your cruise on Sunday and are anxiously awaiting confirmation we are sailing.
As you may know, while docked in St. Thomas on Monday, Carnival Liberty experienced an engine fire that was extinguished by the ship's automated suppression system. There were no injuries to guests or crew. Guests re-boarded that evening and enjoyed the ship as a floating hotel with all the usual services and amenities.
The U.S. Coast Guard and other authorities have fully completed their assessments and have cleared the Carnival Liberty to sail. We will be leaving St. Thomas this evening and will arrive in San Juan tomorrow morning. Our cruise on Sunday will operate as scheduled with the full itinerary.
Rest assured all hotel services and ship's safety systems are fully functional and the normal array of activities, entertainment, dining options and programming will be offered.
Those of you who have sailed with us before, as well any first time guests can expect to have a FUNtastic time aboard the beautiful Carnival Liberty.
As a reminder, check-in for your cruise is scheduled from 2:30PM-8:30PM. For your comfort and convenience, since seating is limited at our cruise terminal, we ask that you please not arrive for check-in prior to 2:30PM.
Captain Catalani and his entire team are looking forward to welcoming you aboard and providing a FUN and memorable cruise.
See you soon!
Sincerely,
Arlene Marichal
Sr. Director, Solutions and Special Services

Many people say "patience is a virtue". I am a type A personality so I feel that "patience is a waste of time". :D:D

We stayed in 7451 last September on the Freedom. Our cabin did have a sofa however we only used it as a storage space because we spent most of our time sitting on the balcony watching the wake.
Like was stated above, no noise issues at all at the back. We have in the past stayed in aft cabins all across the back of various ships and this is the norm. The only people ever back there either have a cabin on the aft or are lost. I can assure you no matter which cabin you choose you will not regret it.

Aplmac if you don't mind me asking, was the go pro significantly cheaper in St. Maartin? I am thinking about getting one when we go in September but if it is not that big of a savings I would rather get it before my cruise so that I am comfortable with its use before we go.

I agree with jwjax the Fascination is a great ship. We have only sailed her once but I am looking to try and sneak another trip on her before summer. Just know she is smaller than the rest but more fun per square foot than any other ship we have sailed.

I see a ship with 2 afts. Does that mean the price of an aft balcony would be less since there are more of them?

I agree that the lemonade is a little bit too strong straight out of the machine. I like to mix mine 50/50 with vodka. :D
Which Aft wrap on Liberty?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We just got off of the Liberty 2 weeks ago. We stayed in 8455. It was the aft wrap on the starboard side. The room was incredible and that HUGE balcony was amazing. We loved the way the bed was on an angle and faced out the windows. There was no sofa in the room but we were not in there much because of the balcony. We had 3 loungers and 4 chairs out there. Only heard noise from above one morning about 8 am but other than that no issues at all.
