  1. I couldn't help laughing at all the precautions to take when abroad. Sometimes it's a lot nearer home and a place you just wouldn't expect it. We were in Guernsey a few years ago. A beautiful quiet place with hardly any crime. DH went to get a coffee fo us and i put my bag on the table, he shouted me to ask if i wanted anything to eat and by the time i had turned my head back to the table my bag had gone. pays to be vigilant everywhere.

  2. another rum runner question - are they re-usable?

The photo I've seen doesn't look that easy to clean between uses.

To be practical they have to be washable and dry thoroughly between uses and the sort of nozzle looking thing I've seen has me questioning if it can be re-used

Why worry, surly the alcohol will sterilize it anyway. :D have used them a few times, brilliant.

  3. There is a slavery museme in the docks free, that is very good. There was a war one but that might have finished. There is a duck tour from the dock, must do that, will take you around liverpool and into the water. We also have an open bus tour. Try not to eat in the Albert Dock, very pricy and mostly mediocre.Lots of good places in liverpool one. (the new shopping aera, brilliant ) Didn't like the tate myself. It's very easy to get lost in the shopping aera,i do and i've been in liverpool all my life, but it's new and a bit cofusing. Just make your way to the bus station and Albert Dock is over the rd from there. Liverpudlians are very friendly and will always help you. We love our tourists.

  4. I can't believe all this. You are on holiday for gods sake. My head is spinning with all the things you all bring. I think i'd rather stay at home. Giving gifts and photos and phone cards to staff seems to be a bit patronizing to me. Give them the money. Will be taking the shoe bag though

O dear, hope i didn't offend anybody. I seem to have put the kibosh on this forum. Sorrrrrrry:o

  6. We will be on the Princess New England/Canada cruise this October and are now planning our shore excursions. Is it easy to do Peggy's Cove on your own? or a private tour versus a Ship Tour?

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Is it best to tour this area in the morning?

Been to Peggy's cove many times. (My daughter lives in Nova Scotia. )Given the location i don't think it would be possible to do it alone unless you hire a car. It's a bleak but beautiful place
