  1. First time I also received any comp offers..Looks tempting..  Two questions..'   Several other questions were answered already..

Do we get Capt club points for the sailing????

Can we use stock holders OBC??           OOPS 3 questions!

Also can the difference be paid for the perks???

  2. I was on the 3/3 sailing while we had no problems with our cabin there some issues with scheduling tours due to port change (no Key West due to damaged dock) that the tour office( nor could landside answer the questions before we boarded) wasn't able to answer, they had to get back to us. NONE of the folks on the roll call never received invites to the meet and mingle which they didn't reschedule.    The crew that deals with the passengers the first day should have either been on board a day before we boarded or have been updated before they boarded.

Over all a great cruise...we booked for the ports knowing the ship was old and small.  As mentioned she needs a good exterior paint job.  The hot tubs were out of service the entire cruise and we had no pool until the 2nd day, seem it leaked into cabins on deck 9!!!   The food was good and the entertainment was better then some on NCLlast fall!!!  Love that they had a LIVE orchestra for all the shows as apposed  NCL using canned music!!

  3. looking for update info....  last minute change to our itinerary. Haven't been to GC in a few years and none of us remember which beach we went to...

How much are chairs and umbrella at Calico Jack??  If we head there around noon will there be chairs available??   There are three ships in port with us..   We would rather walk around town first.

  4. Thanks all...YVE will be our place to stay...Prices look good...  The "resort" fee is annoying doubt that we will us the gym...Maybe the pool before we go to the ship but then we have to deal with wet swimsuits..

    Bayside Market looks intriguing …

Side note...are we able to bring a small case of water on board??  thanks

  5.  Has anyone stayed at the YVE Hotel in Miami?? It is on Biscayne Blvd..  Any impute from locals on the boards??  We will be there for one night precruise in March.   Our first time out of Miami...

We  have looked a several hotel threads with recommendations...  This hotel was one.  We like the staying away from major chains.  We have noted that no hotels offer shuttles and very few include breakfast.

Looks within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Bayside Market Place..

    Thanks

  6. They will probably have currencies of the countries you are visiting. See the Financial Officer at the Guest Services area; they usually have a fixed time each day.

A word of warning though the exchange rate is "in their favour!!" and they charge a large fee for every exchange.

We use to exchange on the ships years ago but not recently so wasn't even sure if the ships still offered the service.. Airport exchanges aren't the best either but we need such a small amount that it may we worth it ..$100 or less.

  7. I am sure this has been asked before but do the ships do any money exchange onboard?? We will need a small amount of some currencies and may not have easy access to ATM since we will be with a large group..

    Thanks

  8. It seems from this thread that there are no drawers on some ships!!!! :o

With that thought in mind..are there drawers on the Breakaway. I pack with the soft cubes but always unpack into drawers...(or hang items)..

The cubes pictured look handy but really don't want to bring them if not necessary...

  9. hoping someone cruising this tread might have some updated info...We had a port change on our Breakaway sailing for Oct, 2018...

There seems to be limited private tours for this port other them "tours by locals" and we have no idea what if this is a port doable on our own..We do know the ship is at least 20 minutes from the "center of Town"..

We are interested in the Haga area but don't know what we "should" see..

Any suggestions from locals or folks that have been there?? We have about 7 hours..

    Thanks for any input!!!

  10. We bought a Zumba package last year....basicily a wash in price since we didn't get to as many classes as we hoped... People would walk in an try to join in..leader would tell them it is a paid class. There were line dancing sessions by the pool some afternoons that were a good workout if you wanted it to be...and fun.

I also enjoyed the Cancer Fund raiser. Folks would join that won't normally take a class..

  11. We used a company called "welcome pickups" to go from airport to hotel in Athens and then from hotel to airport in Rome .. Excellent service both drivers were very pleasant ..answered questions. Some friends were on a different flight in to Athens and also found their driver helpful and pleasant... We will use them again in Rome next year..:D

  12. We will be in Cyprus at the end of October..generally is the weather still good for a beach visit..with a swim??

We plan on hiring a car at the pier for a short tour then the beach..we have a list of sites but wonder what the top two or three you would suggest?? We are in port from 10-6 ...

  13. Last year on the Reflection there was a "Parade" and then "judging" of customs while fun it was poorly managed by the "cruise staff"... the atrium area was decorated with jack-o-lanterns and cornstalks..

The sailing was a TA...some folks brought full blown outfits while others had accessories for "regular" clothing ..

    Enjoy..
