  1. thanks for the feedback and ideas. I was concerned about ID, and of course spending $ since you can't drink the water your playing in!! But we booked a Cabana on Princess Cays beach day, and the Nassau day we're doing the ATV adventure with some beach time with the smaller crowd so I think it will go OK.

  2. Hello,

We're first time Carnival travelers to Bahamas and have two teens with us. I am wondering how you find out if there are special themed parties etc so we bring onboard what we need not have to buy something on ship. I read they have had toga parties etc in the teen program. How best to get this info? AND any way to get food menus before sail or only at the time of sail?

    Thanks,

    jackchick

  3. I read from another couple that they did this a few years ago and loved it, but since her hubby is over 65 now, that they can't. since it's usually booked thru the ship, I'm sure age is checked...sadly I'm younger but I'm pretty sure your hubby is in better shape then me!

  4. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of these two resorts day pass. Distance, taxi cost to Breezes, food, beach, etc. Thanks in advance.

I also read Breezes is for ages 14 and older only. There isn't a guarantee on the eqpt to use but there is lots of it from what I read. I am going in July and have been researching this too. Hubby isn't sure he wants to to lose shore time travelling around, but we have teens going and they can make or break the attitude!

  5. when are you going? we are set for 7/23 but I wasn't sure on booking here or at the Breeze, I have had like 150 views on which do people prefer post, but no responses. so if you're earlier then me, I hope you can let me know what you thought.

  6. Travelling with DH and two teen boys, and trying to decide if the Breeze day pass is a better option since they have a lot of options for use like the paddle boats, windsurf etc. But they are more $ then Melia which offers a lot of the same stuff just not as much. Which would you choose and why?? Does stuff get picked and there isn't much left?

Would you taxi it or take a bus?

  7. so I'm wondering while the family is playing in the water or strolling the beach in the Caribbean, whose watching our stuff. Camera's, id, $$, that kind of thing. Junkanoo is public, and the Day pass places don't list that there are lockers...so how do you handle enjoying yourself and not worrying about your stuff?

We went to Alaska, and frankly, this isn't a problem there!!:D

  8. wondering for you regular cruisers, which is the smarter choice for access to items without a big wait like kayaks etc, good snorkeling conditions, and food choices between the Melia or Breeze on the Day Pass options on Nassau? We're going 7/23 on 4 night cruise to Nassau and Princess Cays.

Myself and DH have 2 teenage boys with us to keep entertained and fed! They will likely be hoping ship friends will be around there too...do is one better then the other. Atlantis is just crazy expensive for us!

and at Princess Cays, is it hard to use any of their equipment etc?

  9. Hello,

Skimmed around trying to get info on the NCL terminal itself. Didn't find it so am posting...

NCL says they use Canada Place terminal and Ballantyne. Are theses off the beaten path? Can you check in luggage and have things in walking distance in the event you can't get on ship but your there early? Nice place or is it a glorified bus stop??? We're going on our first cruise 5/2. Our kids are dropping us off. We're driving from Seattle area. Don't know what to expect. Is there a spot for them to drop us off, and we can roll the luggage on in? Is it a bit of a walk? Should they park and then help us get everything to the terminal??

    What would you suggest.

    Thanks
