  1. The best thing I have come up with is an accordion file. We bought the check sized one, and I have labeled all the pockets. I keep passports, tickets, hotel information, rental car info, shore excursion info, etc. all in this nice little file.

Thought we would give the idea of the small file a try. I have started filling it for our trip this coming Saturday. I am surprised how useful it is. We have many papers and now they are organized. The plastic protects everything. Glad we decided to use one and we haven't even left yet. :D Thanks for the suggestion!

  2. So some of it makes sense, not all of it. LOL. Especially a shoe rack...that would be large to carry, no?

I believe that they are talking about a clear plastic shoe rack that has slits on the top of each compartment-as opposed to one on the side, and hangs over the door. This is to organize items so that you are not wasting time looking all over the cabin for them. They fold up, come with the hooks in the package, and are inexpensive. (Walmart has them for about $8.00). :)

  3. This was a very helpful thread for me. It gives you ideas or helps you think of other things you may need. I would rather take suggestions from others experiences and enhance the trip. I agree no one has to take everything. It depends on the location one is going to visit and what they plan to do, whether they are flying and limited on luggage or are driving and have plenty of room for whatever they want to bring. Personal preferences drive choices.

By the way- I found purse size bug repellant and sunscreen in the sports section of Walmart. Just the size we need!
