Leading up to receiving the move up email we fully intended on bidding for a suite but after seeing the prices there’s absolutely no way we would bid at these rates, to be honest these are the highest rates I’ve seen quoted 😱 especially given there’s plenty of suites available… 🤷🏼‍♂️

I apologize - I was wrong. For our upcoming cruise on the Solstice in a Celebrity Suite, the website lists "complimentary in-suite specialty coffees". After reading other posts, I watched a video of our suite. No coffee maker. Certainly a disappointment at this pricepoint. But still happy to be cruising again.

Not to worry, we always schedule our Retreat host (butler) to bring us coffee every day at 7:00 am. I always hand them my prepared list of simple requests on day 1.  Specialty dining, spa appointments, pressing, etc...

    Cheers,

    Kimberly

It should be a fine, plain vanilla, hotel for overnighting prior to the next day's cruise vessel departure. It is a very short walk to the Ruby Tuesday or IHOP for a similarly plan but satisfactory dinner. There is an AMC movie theatre across the street, but it may just be a plan to get a good night's sleep for all the activity the next day.

    Thanks again for your help!

Traveling to NYC a few times each year, you likely have already seen what is most important to you, and you probably already know the types of areas that exist in and around NYC. I see the issue of where to stay as being one of three choices: near LaGuardia airport, near Cape Liberty in Bayonne, or someplace in-between. How ambitious will you be on Saturday after traveling? If not very, then there's a few hotels near the airport, mostly mid-priced, and unless you choose an airport hotel in Flushing, there won't be much choice for eating or doing much (it is just a place to sleep). With a good amount of ambition you could travel from LaGuardia to a hotel near Cape Liberty. But it might start getting late for dinner, so think about timing. As mentioned, there are hotels in Elizabeth: these are like the hotels near LaGuardia in not having substantial choice for eating or doing much (again, just a place to sleep). There are also hotels in Jersey City, near Exchange Place, and at least one hotel in neighboring Hoboken, where there are a number of places to eat, and the environment is quite a bit more conducive to walking around. For in-between, the obvious choice is Manhattan, where there is lots to eat, lots to do, and probably high cost (the cost could be mitigated to some extent by staying in Long Island City, near Queens Plaza). It is fair journey between LaGuardia Airport and Cape Liberty, so it really comes down to when you want to do the bulk of the travel (on the day of airplane arrival, on the day of vessel departure, or split between the two). I note that we reside in Flushing, near LaGuardia Airport, and we have been able to travel between Flushing and Cape Liberty on the morning of a cruise departure, using public transportation, without difficulty, though it does take a bit of time (using a car would be a bit quicker, but it remains a journey).

Thank you for taking your time to provide me with a detailed response. I think we have decided to get closer to Cape Liberty on Saturday by staying at Embassy Suites Newark. We like to be ready to go on embarkation day! Your logistics really helped with our decision!

This board is not very active; hopefully it will pick up. This is our first time visiting Bermuda!  We would love to hear of some fun locals places for lunch!

    Thanks again,

    Kimberly and Barry

Uber/Lyft or a car service such as Carmel Limo or Dial 7.

Hi, I asked for help in our roll call and it is very inactive.  We are flying into Laguardia on Saturday at 5:35 pm and our ship leaves on Sunday from Cape Liberty. We need suggestions on transportation and where to stay when we land. We go to NYC at least a couple times of the year. Our check-in time on Celebrity Summit is 12:00 noon. Any thoughts on hotels, transportation??????

    Thanks,

    Kimberly

Thanks for the info I have been wondering how I was going to sort this out 👍🏼

I completed this form for my husband for both our July 3-10 and Oct. 2-9 cruise on Edge.

Our Retreat host had extension cord and distilled water upon our arrival both cruises.

    Awesome job Celebrity!

Firstly apologies if this topic has featured before unfortunately cannot trace answer.

We have Premium Drinks Package included with our Suite. We also have Captains Club status which I understand gives a discount on Drinks Packages and any upgrades.

Can anyone please offer any advice on  what the upgrade daily cost per passenger would be from premium drinks package to ‘drinks and more’ package and if any Captains club discount can be applied.

    Thank you.

    Regards

We are on the JULY 3 Edge cruise in an SKY2. I would like to know if I need the Drinks, Perks and more. Thanks, Kimberly

I will say the wear and tear of the boat is highly evident everywhere. Housekeeping is sub par. The plexi glass  on the balcony is filthy. I feel like for the price of this room, it should be a lot better!! Just does not meet my expectations. I’ve stayed in an Owners Suite on the Allure in which my steward was excellent and the room was spotless. The kids have seen one towel animal all week so far.

I would have preferred to book the 2 BR Aqua again; however, my dear mother-in-law likes the middle of the ship! I told her we would rent a scooter. Oh well.  I hate to hear about the sub par conditions. No wonder there is a Noro breakout on board! Have you been on Celebrity?

  10. WoW!  Thank you for posting the pics. We have been concerned the Suites would be very run down. We have been on Oasis two times and Allure two times. Actually, we love Celebrity the best. However, we chose this cruise/ship because our daughter and her husband love RCI.

If you have any suggestions about Spa, Coastal Kitchen, specialty dining, pass them on please!

I am so sorry about the Norovirus! I hope it is not ruining your vaca!

    Thanks again,

  11. RCI offered to do something special when their stateroom was accidentally cancelled after it was paid in full. They did not know it was cancelled until they received their credit card statement. They had a multitude of unnecessary problems during the booking process that I failed to mention. They actually laughed and said they would be lucky if they had a bed! Thanks, cruisegirl1! We have taken several cruises...but none were for a special occasion! Just because we could and wanted to!

  12. Our daughter and new son-in-law boarded Harmony today at 11:15. They did not receive any mention of their honeymoon. Their stateroom (Central Park balcony) was available at 1:15. When they arrived...once again no mention of the honeymoon! No welcome champagne as promised! However, they received a note and bottle of wine that said, "Happy Retirement Mom!" They notified the courtesy desk. They picked up Mom's wine and gave them a card with a reservation to the buffet at Solarium Bistro.

My daughter is currently an Emerald member; one point from Diamond. I would think that RCI would want to entice a young professional couple by showing their best efforts!:confused::confused:

  14. We just returned from our sailing on the Allure, Royal Family Suite 10244... It was an amazing suite!!

Plenty of closet space, plenty of privacy so you don't all have to go to bed at the same time. Triple balcony with 2 loungers and a small table 4 chairs.

We ordered room service in our suite 4 times.. not a large dining table, but we managed. We also had breakfast on the balcony and it was wonderful!

Our stateroom attendant was FABULOUS!! He treated us like royalty and our suite was absolutely perfect!

The 2nd bedroom does not have an attached bathroom, but it was just across from the bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has the 2 bunkbeds and 2 lower that can also be put together.

The master suite has the bathroom, which has a tub and balcony access.

We really had plenty of hangers both wooden and plastic, no need to bring your own. After we unpacked there was plenty of room for 4 large suitecases to be stored and still more room for shoes and all we packed!

I have pictures and trying to upload

    Hello Pebbles,

I wanted to make sure that this royal family suite receives all Suite perks and benefits. Can you please confirm. We are traveling on May 18.

    Thank you,
