  1. Check roll calls of all the ships in port with you. You may find enough people.

It's great fun! Crew is fanstastic, drinks are great. Views are gorgeous!

We actually have enough and I am sooo excited for the list excursion. May 8th is just around the corner :D

  2. Tom predicted it would fill up closer to our date and he knows better :D We were panicking and he will probably be turning people away for that day!

I'm sorry I don't know your first name maritch, my name is Donna and my Husband and I will be on the Navigator docked at the international pier. I think we are going to share a cab with another couple from our ship (which I don't know either) LOL

    Can't wait :)

Hi Donna my name is Bobbie we will be docked at Puerta Maya on the Breeze.

I know right... worried for nothing or maybe or posts helped interest others. Either way I'm just happy we get to go and glad Tom was right.

  3. Try going to roll calls for all ships there the same day you are to generate enough people. It's really a great time!

Thanks ! We have enough... super excited :D

  4. FYI-

My wife and I and a group from CC Roll Call did this March 14th and had a ball....Weather was perfect....1st stop was very laid back since it was only about 10 am their time (Cozumel is usually on CST (one hour less than our ship out of FLL on EST) but they don't switch in Cozumel to DST until sometime in April)...2nd stop at Coconuts was very hectic as it seemed another tour, or other large group was there ahead of us, so bar and food service was crazy....atmosphere there would have been better if not so crowded....3rd and 4th stops much less crowded and much better....

    David:D

That's awesome thanks for sharing! I have only heard good things about this so I am very excited to get to go in May :D

  5. Yeah! I might have talked a couple on our cruise into it? She didn't say for sure. Did Tom get back to you on this? I haven't heard from him.

Haha I was on all our roll call dates asking too!

I really want to do this and can't wait :D

Yes Tom got back with me and confirmed we have enough! :D

I registered for the bar hop several days ago and haven't heard anything besides getting my receipt mailed to me. Did you all get confirmation emails?

I emailed them several times before booking asking questions and they have responded to me several times.

I believe the only thing that you will get when you book is the confirmation until time gets closer. Once the date is closer they will send all the details.

Here is what I know so far about the May 8th hop...

We do have our minimum for that date...max is 40

The Breeze will be in port from 9am-5pm local time (CT). The Triumph will be here 9am-4pm, and the NOTS 8:30am-5pm. The other 2 ships originate in the Central Time zone (same as Cozumel) so their port times are correct. You originate in Miami, Florida (ET) so we dial your port times back one hour to match Cozumel time (CT).

We’ll start at 10:15am and end at 3pm, so all ships can potentially participate in the Hop

Now the date just needs to get here ;) Look forward to meeting my fellow hoppers:p

  6. I did already book for May 8th and didn't want to bother Tom again so please let me know if he tells you more people have signed up :)

    Thank you!

I'll will update as soon as he responds. Hopefully there are enough for us to go. How many are in your group? (there are just 2 of us)

  7. Our Celebrity Silhouette Western Caribbean cruise took us to Cozumel on Tuesday March 11, 2014. We did the Bar Hop which was a blast! Highly recommended! I don’t believe this is offered through the cruise ship excursions. Won’t go into too much detail since there is a really good thread on this “Bar Hop stops reviews” but I will share a few pics which speak for themselves.

Basically 4 wonderful beach bars where you get to spend an hour at each one. Bus ride to the first location Punta Morena was about 45 minutes or so from downtown. From Punta Morena the three remaining stops were no more than 10 minutes apart. Punta Morena amazing beach! Coconuts pretty much my favorite. Great atmosphere and even better margarita’s. Enjoyed a huge margarita and tastey lunch at Playa Bonita. Last stop was Rastas. Amazing views from all locations. Our guide was wonderful!

DanAnna thanks for sharing pictures from your recent bar hop!!

We are going to be in Cozumel on May 8th and are hoping to do this bar hop. When I checked a few weeks ago there was not enough people booked for that day as of yet. I think I am going to send another email and check to see if they have enough yet.

  8. The first time we sailed out of NO it organized and we were on the ship within 30 minutes or less, debarkation was a breeze too. Last year was not at all the same experience. We arrived early again only to wait for hours to get on the ship, there was not enough seats and we were all packed in like sardines. Worst embarkation I have ever experienced and the debarkation was not much better. However once on the ship I quickly forgot about the wait and hope it was just a fluke bad embarkation experience.

    I'll answer a few that I can...

My favorite was Rasta (Bob Marley) Bar. Don't know if it's because they had a topless beach area where you could take some fun pics, or if it was the food or drink, but I mostly think it was because after the first three bars everyone had become friends and has loosened up and was having a blast.

Thanks!!! I am sure after a few shots and some drinks there are some interesting pics, lol.

  10. I just e-mailed again from the website and the e-mail is coming back to my mailbox, that is weird. Oh I do see their address is CC:info@cozumelbarhop.com

Did that happen to you? Is there an address you can give me?

    Donna,

Did you ever get your email to go through and get a respose?

  11. We've just returned from the Bar Hop, so ask away if you have any specific questions. The drinks weren't necessarily inexpensive, although they were very good and quite strong! My wife and I especially enjoyed the Margaritas at both stops 2 & 3 - and they were huge!

Okay you asked so here are some questions that I have or that I think someone else might wonder as they come across this thread...

How far in advance did you book before your cruise? (I was going to book a couple of weeks ago as we are going to be there May 8th but they did not have anyone else even booked yet)

Once you booked did they send you a confirmation right away with all the details?

(I assume they know when you're coming so the free shot/drink is pre-made and waiting so there is not everyone waiting for a drink at once)

Can you subsitute say a beer if you don't like the free offering?

Did you feel like you had plenty of time at each stop?

Did you have a favorite stop or highlight of the hop?

Everyone I have spoken to seems to agree this is something they would do again, would you?

How many people did you end up with on your hop and what was the average age range?

  12. We did the bar hop last time we visited and we really enjoyed it.... We also did not get any free t-shirts mentioned by someone - they had them, but for a price.

That's weird their website shows it's included...

    What does the tour include?

The tour includes a free shot at every bar, a free t-shirt and lots of fun with my knowledgeable Hop Hosts!

It even ask for your t-shirt size when you book.

The do have ones you can buy also so maybe there was some confusion...

Do you sell t-shirts? (in addition to the free ones?)

Yes, high quality 100% cotton t-shirts are available in different colours and sizes Small - XXL. Cost is $10 - $12USD, and our caps are $15USD.

  13. We did the Bar Hop last week. We met at 11:00 (Cozumel local time) and they know what time all the cruise ships are leaving port. We happened to be on the first ship leaving port and the furthest ship away on there route back with the all aboard at 4:30 and they had us back at the terminal at about 4:10. Plenty of time to get back on board.

This was our first time on the bar hop and we had a great time. A couple of the stops had a few children at the beach but for the most part it was adults.

The next time in Cozumel we will do it again.

Thanks cheapboxer! ...How many people ended up on your hop?

  14. I just e-mailed again from the website and the e-mail is coming back to my mailbox, that is weird. Oh I do see their address is CC:info@cozumelbarhop.com

Did that happen to you? Is there an address you can give me?

I did not have any issues at all getting in touch with them they have emailed me back three times to answer my questions.

The first time I submitted my question through their website and the other two times just replied back to the original email.

  15. Did the bar hop bus last year, it was great. You don't have to be a drinker to enjoy it, just the scenery is worth it! There were six of us that went, all in our 60's, they had a big bus full of people. By the time you get to the first bar it's about 10:30 or 11:00, not too early to drink when you're on vacation!

Thanks it sounds like this is something anyone can enjoy... it would be great to see this eastern side of the island. I think we will be booking as long as there ends up being enough people. You are on vacation so enjoy, relax and have fun... drink or not you can just enjoy the atmosphere.

  16. I do see our ship gets in at 8:30am and yours not until 10am. I for one wouldn't want to go bar hopping as early as "we" get in port :)

Let us know what you find out please.

    Thanks

    Donna

Our ships are on different time zones so we actually only get there about 30 minutes later than you. The said the hop starts at 10:15am CT.

  17. Did you get other people signed up for the bar hop yet? We will be there May 8th also on the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the seas and am very interested!

I didn't contact them yet, was just wondering why no one was booked yet?

I emailed them and they got back with me right away ....

No bookings yet, but that’s not unusual with almost 3 months to go. Most of our hoppers book about 1-5 weeks out. Max # is 40

You’ll actually be in port from 9am-5pm local time (CT). The Triumph will be here 9am-4pm, and the NOTS 8:30am-5pm. 18. LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. Would do it again in a heartbeat. We have been to Coz 10 or so times and have done something different each and every time. The Bar Hop Bus would be something that I would consider doing again and again. Loved it.

Thanks! The more people that say how much they enjoyed this and would do it again really makes me even more excited to do this on our visit :D

Hopefully there ends up being enough people so we can do this.
