We always rent from Rentadora Isis downtown, great little couple that runs it. About $35 for a VW convertable, stick.

We go counter clockwise and stop here and there along the way, few places on the other side of the island. We have stopped at the ruins and then come back and shop.

I think just drive time will be an hour, maybe an hour for the ruins and then your stops.

going counter clockwise there is a gas station just before you bring the car back.

Thanks for the heads up. Will be on the Breeze in two weeks and can't wait to be on vacation.

I can always find some thing to eat and can always find entertainment. I would have a hard time with the smell and glad they were able to move you.

My expectations for Carnival is that they feed me, clean my room, entertain me in some way, take me to places I have never been or maybe not often and wash my clothes (platinum so free laundry) and last, be somewhat friendly.

Any thing over that is a bonus! I am not cooking, cleaning or working. Perfect!

I take a picture of my Hubby with me on the cruise and say "wish you were here" NOT!!!

Just kidding, he doesn't like to cruise, maybe some day I can get him on an Alaskan cruise.

It seems like I always get a picture of the huge iron thing (don't know what it is called) that holds the gigantic lines to the ship.

We will need a hotel for after our cruise and would like to be on the beach.

Does any one have any good recommendations for on the beach and how far to pier and airport?
