  1. They usually post them around 6 six months before the cruise but I have seen them posted as late as 3 months before the cruise, so it is not unusual for them to not be posted right now.

Oh! I surely hope that won't be the case for this cruise... I'm too much of a planner, plus I'd like to get my hands on FTTF if I can manage it.

  2. My husband and I booked a cruise on the Liberty out of San Juan in March of next year, and when looking at the excursions, nothing shows up. We called about it and Carnival said they won't add excursions until early next year. That doesn't seem right to me as we've booked far in advance before and haven't had this issue.

Are others who are cruising a year or so from now having this issue by chance?

  3. We tipped $50, and we thought it was well deserved as the wait staff was phenomenal! Our drinks (both water and wine) were never empty, they used our names, and the service was perfectly coordinated.

I hope your experience is just as amazing!

  4. I can relate to the atmosphere on the ship as when we were on our first cruise in Sept. Of 2011, a man went overboard on the Conquest shortly after leaving Cozumel. The ship spent a good amount of time searching, unfortunately he was never found.

I hope that this young man is found, and though he may not have survived, at least there can be closure for his loved ones.

  5. and we said no .

We are currently booked in a Spa Balcony for a September sailing on the Magic. Carnival offered an Ocean Suite for $500 more (not a spa room). I didn't think it was worth it to spend an extra $500, plus having to shell out the extra $250 for the spa access we originally had.

Did we make a good choice? The priority embarkation would have been nice, but $500 nice?

  6. Not all of the ships have it, but the Magic does, for sure. It's $95 per person and the tour on the Magic is really outstanding.

Thanks for the info! Now I just have to make sure we are on the ship early enough to secure our spots. :)

  7. I never made it back to this thread as my daddy passed away unexpectantly. Its been a rough month. Just last week did I come back to my thread and it lifted me up. I booked another cruise on Magic for 9/21/14. She really is my favorite ship.

Oh dear. I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

I thoroughly enjoyed your review; it definitely made my husband and I that much more excited to go on the Magic.

We were actually set to go on Sept. 21, but due to surprise military orders, we are now going two weeks earlier. I hope that you enjoy your cruise!
