We are just back from a cruise in Alaska. Our very favorite excursion was the dog sledding and additional glacier landing out of Juneau. We have both said we are so glad we did not miss doing this.

Yeah the helicopter is out of our budget too but I worked some extra shifts at work to pay for it. Definitely worth it. There are lots of booths set up for all kinds of tours in Juneau. If you are interested in Whale watching look up Gallant Adventures in Sitka. There is a good possibility he might be booked but doesn't hurt to check. His tour was the highlight of our trip. Gallant adventures whale watching $125 each (2.5 hours) max 6 people

In Ketchikan we just did: City Highlights, Totems & Creek Street by Trolley $29.95 each

1 hour 30min. It was simple, yet interesting. It also sells out fast. Unfortunately a lot of the tours in these cities are limited by time or amount of people so you have to jump on them early. Sorry I'm not sure that helped very much.

Amazing reviews! My wife and I are going on the westerdam on Saturday. We can't afford to do too many excursions, what are some you would recommend the most? The helicopter looks amazing but probably out of our budget. Thanks!
