I have purchased the Voom Surf and Stream for our upcoming cruise.  I have read that I will need to put my phone in Airplane mode.  I have an Iphone and was wondering about using my Face Time app and my text messenger through their wifi and also my email.  Thanks for any help.

Needing tips from anyone who has driven to Ft. Lauderdale.  We see there are a few options -(1)  go I-75 to Fla Turnpike and continue on it to I-95' (2) I-75 then cut over to Jacksonville to

I-95, (3) I-75 to I-4 to Orlando then hit the Turnpike to Hwy 192 toward Melborn and hit I-95 there.  I really hate to get on a toll road in Fla due to a bad experience.  Last year we were on one for about a mile in Tampa.  They sent us two invoices.  All the information was duplicated except for the invoice number.  I tried to get in touch with then through email and phone call and had no success.  So I stupidly paid both invoices and they never sent me a refund.

Thank you for the help.  For some reason I had downloaded the MyRcl app.  I have the correct app installed now.

I just downloaded the RCCL app for my Iphone.  Where it says to sign in, is it the same username and password as I use for their website on my PC?  When I used the same it said I had to  activate it on myrclhome.com website.  When I was directed to that page and put in my information it said I had used an invalid username or password. When I went to the page to create an account it asked questions like I wanted to apply for a job on a cruise ship.

Any help would be appreciated.  I really do not want to call a RCCL rep as I have heard too many horror stories of dealing with them.

Also on the Feb. 2 cruise.  I have not received an email but logged into my account and saw the same thing.  I am disappointed because we have been to both of those places but never to St. Kitts.  St. Kitts was one reason I booked this date.  I had already booked an excursion at St. Kitts so wonder will they refund my money or just do onboard credit.

We have been on 4 cruises with RCCL and will be doing our 5th on Allure in Feb.  So if I go ahead and book some excursions and later find a better price, I can cancel and rebook the lower price?  We have never done this before, guess I just thought we were locked in at first booking price.

We have reservation for Feb. 1, 2020 at Comfort Inn on W. Commercial Blvd.   Just wondering if it is an okay area of town.  Are there places to eat a meal close by. 

We will definitely be looking into getting a Sunpass for our trip to Ft. Lauderdale next Feb. for our cruise.  We cruised from Tampa this past Jan.  When we left the port our GPS took us on a toll road for a mile or so.  We knew we would be getting billed because there was no toll booth.  Our surprise was getting two bills.  The invoice numbers were different but the times, route, and distance were all the same. (We did not get on the toll road on our way to the port.)  I tried to call and email FDOT with no luck of getting through with the phone call and no answer to my email.  I am not wanting to receive two bills for next Feb. 

For an Eastern Caribbean cruise trying to decide between an Oceanview balcony room or a Boardwalk balcony room.   Pros and Cons for each please.  Just worried the Boardwalk balcony rooms will be noisy at night.  

I can vouch for Park Connect which we used last month for our cruise on Brillance.  Our printed voucher told us to park on 3rd deck or higher.  We found an empty spot on 3rd deck, walker to elevator and easy walk to the ship.  We had dropped our luggage at ship drop off first so just had one carry on with us.  After the cruise my husband went back to get the car while I waited with luggage.  He pulled up to the exit and someone was there and he showed them our prepaid voucher and they let the bar up for him to exit.

Just asking for opinions on favorite cruise line and favorite itinerary for a southern Caribbean cruise. We are a 65+ couple planning for our 50th anniversary. We have cruised on RCCL and Princess.

We will be on Serenade with friends who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. I would like to decorate their cabin door and was wondering if anyone knows if the doors are metal and will accept magnets. If not, any suggestions what to use to put up a cardboard sign? (Not sure about using tape on the door.) I don't want to purchase the RCCL anniversary gift packet as I do not think they would care for the room decorations.

Need information for a hotel near the airport and cruise terminal in Boston. We will be getting in late afternoon, so won't be doing sightseeing. Just need a reasonable priced hotel with shuttle from airport to hotel, then from hotel to cruise terminal. Thanks for any help.

What date are you doing this? What time does the ship sail? What airline are you flying?

We are flying in on Oct. 2 (a Sunday)on Southwest airlines. The ship sails at 4:00.

We will fly into to Boston airport the day of our cruise arriving at 12:35. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it will take to collect luggage, get a taxi and get to cruise terminal. My travel companions are concerned we will be late getting on the ship. But that was the only direct flight from Atlanta.

It is yet another singing and dancing show. Basically just dancing and songs from different countries. Was the same level of quality as the other princess productions, not very good in my personal opinion. They did quite a bit of singing dancing shows and we skipped some of them after watching the first two. Only went to others if there was nothing else to do. We also had Steve Moris, who does comedy and music. He did 3 shows and they were great. So much better than that production shows. There was also a magician that did two shows. Also wonderful.

 

 

I will say though that RCL has much better entertainment. One of my biggest negatives about Princess is that we found the shows and entertainment very lacking. Hope this helps.

I will have to agree with you on this. I was very disappointed with the entertainment. RCCL has much better entertainment, and even the Norweigian's Pride of American does also.

At Franklin dock, are the vendors there from the bus to go out to Mendenhall or do you have to go to tram area to catch the bus? Also, if you are dropped off in town from an excursion, is there a shuttle that will take you back to Franklin dock?

Just wondering about check-in timing. Received an e-mail today about our check-in times and wondering how strict they are about it. Our hotel

pick up time is scheduled for 11:00 and scheduled boarding time is 2:30. We are staying in hotel at SeaTac so it will take a while before we get to pier. A couple of us have trouble with standing for long periods, so just wondering if we need to reschedule a later hotel pick up time. We have no problem with checking in and then having to wait on ship if our cabins are not ready. Just want to make sure they will let us go ahead and check in.

Sure would like to see a Ruby Princess Patter for the Alaska cruise.

Need information about Angle Lake Park. We will be in Seattle on July 4 staying in a hotel near SeaTac. I see there will be activities and fireworks at Angle Lake Park which is not far from our hotel. Is this area safe. We will have to take the rail service to park. How much of a walk is there from where the train stops to the park. Also, looking at tours with Customized Tours, either a city tour or Mt. Rainer tour. If anyone has done either tour with them or another company, would appreciate any information.

We will be traveling on Ruby Princess in July, and I have some questions about where we will be docking in the different towns. In Juneau we dock at FKL, in Ketchikan at dock 4, and at Skagway at ORE. We will have two people who are limited with walking long distances, so I am wondering at these docks will there be a long walk to town or will there be shuttles available. In Skagway we are meeting up with Chilkoot Tours first and then going to be dropped off in town after the trip. Hoping for a shuttle to get us back to the ship. Any information I can get about these three docks would be greatly appreciated.

We booked our Alaska cruise a few months ago and have been making payments. Checking today I see the balcony rooms available on our deck and section can be booked for $170 cheaper than what we paid. If I call Princess, will they discount my room to the same price? Also at the time we booked, we received OBC. Will that be taken away if we do get the discount? This is our first Princess cruise so I am not sure of their procedures. Thanks for any info.

We booked with them 5 years ago and loved our tour. Will be doing another Alaska cruise this July and have already booked a tour with Chilkoot in Skagway. We liked riding the train up and bus back, and our cruise line did not offer that option. That is what we did before and I felt like we just got different views from each. Of course we did the extended tour last time and went to Emerald Lake which was absolutely beautiful. This time we are just doing the short time and coming straight back to Skagway after getting off the train so we can have some time in town before going back to our ship. Missed town time on our last trip.

Will be on the Ruby Princess this summer for a round trip Alaska cruise. Since the last port stop is Victoria, will we have to go through customs when we get off the ship in Seattle. We have a 12:30 flight out so need to get to the airport ASAP. We are planning to have Seattle Express for pick up at pier and take us to the airport. What is a reasonable time to have them there for pick up. We are looking at carrying our on luggage off the ship. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
