  1. Actually, a PVP has been calling me a couple times a week and leaving a message to call her. I normally just book online myself so haven't returned her call. I think I will give her a call tomorrow to ask about this. Thanks for the reply!

  2. I'm looking at booking 4237 and 4239 on the Pride which are connecting staterooms. Me, hubby and our two year old son will be in one room and my mom and our 11 year old son in another room. My issue is that 4237 (Vista Suite) is only meant for two people. 4239 holds three people. We need it reversed! Would it be okay to book hubby and I in 4237 and then my mom and two sons in 4239 with the intent of having our youngest son sleep with us in 4237. He will sleep in a crib. I just don't want the room steward to tell us that the crib can't be moved to 4237 because the room is only meant for two people. Anyone have any idea if this will be okay?

  3. I just sailed out of NYC a few weeks ago with FTTF. When you drop your bags off let them know you are FTTF and they will add an orange luggage tag in addition to the one you printed. When you enter the terminal there will be people there to welcome you. Just let them know you are FTTF and they will give you a "priority" boarding pass and direct you to a separate check in line.

  4. Just got of the splendor and had FTTF. We received a letter in our room the night before that stated we did not have to get a tender # as they had a special room set up for FTTF and to be there at 8:30am if we wanted the first tender.

WOW! Nice....Did you book early saver?

Yes, booked early savers! 15 more days until we sail! Woohoo! I'm still checking prices every day for more price drops! Not counting on it but you never know!

  6. How are you checking? Do you do a fake booking? Do you have to "catch" the sale? I booked an early saver, but my PVP said I need to notify her. Does that mean she's not looking out for me?

I use the fare viewer or just do a mock booking. You have to watch for price drops and contact your PVP. So far, I've saved $800 between two cabins!! Yay!

  7. We got it on cruise on the Sunshine last month and we enjoyed it. I like the fact that I can try a drink and if i didn't like it oh well I just ordered another one. The other thing that I really enjoyed is every night I would end with a chocolate martini or two before going off the bed. Something I learned 2 days into the cruise is that if you order a classic drink which cost 8.75 and ask for the reprint receipt you can take it to the casino and get a $5 free play at the tables. I had collected over $100 worth of these and my husband used at the tables and game ahead $400 with them. So was it worth it for us - YES.

Oh, great tip on taking the receipt to the casino!! Thanks!!

  8. I think you're definitely over thinking. We will be sailing in June with an 18 month old. He's a fairly easy baby and I don't anticipate any issues but if he does start acting up I'll do my best to comfort him and if that doesn't work, I would just take him for a little walk in his stroller and hope that will calm him. I think by giving them a gift you are just drawing attention to yourself which could backfire as then they may pay more closer attention to any noise that may come from your stateroom. I really wouldn't worry to much about it. Unless the child has a complete screaming meltdown, they shouldn't hear a thing. Good luck and enjoy your cruise!

  9. I would never try and sneak on a ship past 24 weeks. I believe you actually must show a note from your OB how far along you are (I could be wrong on this). Although, you may be having a uneventful pregnancy and all is going well does not mean the unexpected can't happen. I would never risk being out at sea and having an issue. Just my opinion though. You can check online how much it will cost you to cancel or just give Carnival a call. Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
