Thanks 3PP for your response. Was it a long walk from the terminal to where the taxis are? I'm 54 and my traveling companions are 79, 80 and 82 - they can walk if needed but how far is the walk so I can let them know before we get there. What about crossing 12th Avenue, how was that experience?

Have a question regarding transfers from Manhattan Cruise Terminal and Penn Station.............

Our ship arrives on Friday May 13, 2016 in NYC and we disembark the next morning. Need to get to Penn Station for 10AM train to Providence, RI on Saturday. One other ship in port with us but it does not arrive in port until Saturday morning. I would think we can disembark our ship well before 8AM that day.

My questions are: What is the taxi situation at the cruise terminal? Would it be easy for us (for 4 people with luggage) on early Saturday morning to get a taxi to Penn Station without a huge delay? Are there any taxi vans or are they just the basic 4-door taxi? Should we try and get a car service to do the transfer?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated!!!
