About $12/pp, but maybe it depends on how many in the car. There were 4 of us.

You will pay a little more, but we always email ahead and have a driver waiting for us. The same driver will pick you up at whatever time you tell him. They are very reputable, and we have used them before and after covid. This is from Montego Bay port. You walk out of the terminal and go left to walk out the gate. Be sure and bring your confirmation with you.

Great excursion if you don't fall! I wouldn't worry about safety in a group.

Following. Our cruise port has been changed from Montego Bay (we loved the beach at Doctors Cave) to Falmouth. Hopefully you'll receive a response here!

This was our third visit to Maya Chan, and it pained me to write the negative post. I love what they have done to create this haven for cruisers but wish I had read posts prior to this visit discouraging me from returning. Yes, they did show us pictures, but several years ago it was also bad, similar pictures, and we still enjoyed our visit. We could swim out beyond the sargassum using floats, and the servers would run our drinks out to us. We still spent much of the day in the water, and it was lots of fun. We thought we would have a similar experience this time but couldn't even put our feet in the water. The smell was awful! The pool was crowded with children, and you know how small it is. I had brought a group of first timers with me and was really embarrassed to have brought them there. One of the men floated out and went over the baffles, and it was full of seagrass growing from the bottom.
Yes, the walkway is relatively new. They called it a pier, and the hope was that we could walk to the end and jump in avoiding the sargassum. It probably worked in the beginning.....
The staff, food and drinks continue to be wonderful. They had a guacamole cooking/tasting class to keep us entertained, and that was fun. Maybe by October/November the sargassum will be better? I feel so sad for them! At least the last visit they had workers trying to clear the mess, but this time it was hopeless and there wasn't even anyone trying. Although the media says otherwise, I hope and pray that the sargassum will dissipate in the coming years and that this poor family will get a break!

I have experimented with their refrigerators using a thermometer, and they could not consistently keep the temperature between below the required 46 degrees required for my forteo injections.
A week ago, I signed out a Medi-cooler from guest services (Dream) with a $75 deposit. It's small, and sits on the counter. It worked perfectly for me! I also purchased a two part thermometer - one part is a sensor that sits with the medication, and the other part gives readings constantly. Bring an extension cord with multiple plugs because this unit used up the one plug in the room.

We are thinking of booking the Homelands cruise for 2021, and would love some input about the weather during your cruise. I'm guessing that the weather at these ports are much cooler than Europe, and that April and September may be too cool for our Texas blood. And yet we love cruising during the shoulder season. What month did you cruise, and what were the average temperature and how much rain did you have? Europe was brutally hot this June - are June, July and August comfortable on this cruise? Thank you so much for any response!

It's only the Sunshine that doesn't have refrigerators in some rooms. And you will love the two story Serenity deck! We would often watch the movie at night from a clamshell on the first floor of the Serenity.

May want to do some research about the specific room you're in - not all of them have a refrigerator! The original rooms before the re-do do not. You can bring a cooler (up to 12x12) and the room steward will keep it filled with ice for you (as well as the ice bucket). We kept our sodas and water bottles in here. Hard sided cooler works best - the others always leak and should be stored in the shower

Will be on the Vista next week and doing Your time Dining. Can anyone recently onboard give me any recommendations or suggestions to avoid certain waiters/waitresses?
Thanks in advance! BTW - did you reserve your time on the Hub app and did that work well?

It was Nativeway, but they haven't responded to my emails either. We were there 2 years ago, and only four of us were on the boat. Wondering if they no longer are in existence?

We were on the Excellence in January, and what a great excursion! However, no seats with backs and lots of very bumpy waves. We sat on benches towards the back so we could have shade. Those in the front had to move to the back during part of the trip because of the rough wave action.

Can't count on it no matter what you're told. Get yourself a hard cooler 12x12 and ask the room steward to keep it filled with ice. Works great.

We did a Segway tour in Columbia a few weeks ago, and the tour guide said that the Segway tour in San Juan is no longer available - the owner was totally wiped out and is going to Columbia to start up there. If anyone finds any positive information, please post.

Thanks to all!

Four of us are going on the Freedom in two weeks. We always do YTD, and try to find a wait staff that we're happy with. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
-
I requested a table and the same wait staff each night . I was seated at the same table every night. You have to get there early because it's first come first served.
Can you tell me which wait staff your requested? Thanks

Never found it to be a problem to wait on deck 5 and then go down to 3. Look for the Taste Bar for some appetizers while you wait! First elegant night is always very crowded with the longest wait - try to go a little early that night and be patient. The lobster tails (order a double portion), shrimp and prime rib are worth a little extra wait.

So sorry for those of you trying to cruise from Galveston this weekend. I saw this post on another FB page and thought it might be helpful:

So disappointed about the new Verizon rewards plan; we cruise about five times each year and were saving 10% on everything.
I can't see where to opt out of the Verizon Select - help! Thanks in advance!

For the second time within a year, we have had a sailing cancel. The latest one happen to be the Sunshine in Jan 2019. They said it was now chartered. Just wondering how often this seems to happen.
Our cruise on the Vista for April 2019 from Galveston changed from a 7 day to a 6 day with new ports. Seven days is short enough! They offered us $50/pp to change to another cruise, but unfortunately the May schedule isn't out yet and not sure they'll honor this when new schedule finally appears.
-
We do our own research, and then book through Costco. They give you a Costco GC after you sail - the amount varies according to the length of your cruise. 7 day - about $100; 14 day - $300. Price of the cruise is exactly what's listed on the website.

(My wife and i are taking our 5 year old granddaughter on the Dream cruise out of New Orleans to Key West and the Bahamas. Any of the tours geared towards younger kids? And if we get the premium internet package, can we use Facetime from our phones/ipads? Thanks in advance?Take a taxi to Atlantis and get a day pass, but be sure you know what is and what isn't included.
We only get the social internet plan, and can do the equivalent of FaceTime on Facebook messenger and it works fine.
How much cash?

That's so funny. We're also planning our trip as once in a lifetime, and it's not until 7/25. I can't stop reading, though, and I'm so excited that I also now wonder if it will really be just a single trip.
