Ship's choice on what they show on the movie channels. On-demand movies are available for an [significant] cost unless you are in a Suite. Lower channels are all ship advertising and information.

MDR menus are only available at the restaurant on the night of service.

You will watch your safety video before arriving at the port and check in at your muster station. NCL will send you [7 or 8] emails reminding you to watch the videos.

Bird, do you know, does Viva / Prima do afternoon movies like other NCL ships?

KateQ, you're responding to a comment from 5 years ago...

Has anything changed in 5 years? Solo, I got a heck of a deal on a SN penthouse for 3 nights. Not quite sure what I'm paying $220 a night for that is different than a balcony 😁🤣 I mean, different than what I NEED, except the Nespresso ❤️ OK, the convenience ❤️

Have there been any changes to the YC Dinner menus for the Caribbean routes in the last 18 months? The last time we sailed Merav in 2022 for B2Bssss, and we recall the menus were the same from 2020 (we sailed early Feb right before things shut down)

Just curious if regular YCers have anything of note to share. TYVM

Someone just posted them from a recent cruise on capt hudson page.

    Hello

does anyone know if there are rental car pick up and drop of locations at both canaveral and miami ports ???

I need to collect a car from canaveral and drop off in miami on the same day

Did this work out for you? I hope to do Port Canaveral to something for port of Miami.

You could go to Los Lobos  or Q.

What we enjoyed most about Bliss was the Observation Lounge (great light lunch buffet!)  and the variety of choices for using your Dining Package or Platinum meals.    It also improved the layout of the Casino with the enclosed area for smoking.

On the Getaway we love Million Dollar Quartet and the walk-up window for Lobster rolls (around $10) on At Sea days.

Old thread but same topic.  Love Love the Observation Lounge and the afternoon food offerings, quiche, tarts, croissant sandwiches, savory strudel,  well, you know.
Does Escape have any where with this type of food?

Just curious what are the differences between breakaway and encore? I haven’t sailed encore but have been on joy which I think is the sister ship?

Encore, Bliss and Joy have amazing Observation Lounges and have racetracks taking up the top deck where Breakaway, Getaway and Escape do not have either. But have wonderful offerings that are different... dinner and a show.

I am a little concerned about NCL's future because many whom I talk to prefer the breakaway and breakaway+ class. Many have pointed out the lack of space at venues, buffet, or the indulge food hall. Others say that the layout is confusing. Also, NCL is losing ground to MSC as they have more ships and potentially more customers. I just realized last week that NCL lost their position as the 3rd largest cruise line by fleet size. What all that in mind, it doesn't sound like fair seas for NCL in the future.

I would like to get people's thoughts as I haven't sailed the Prima class yet.

    Thanks.

Disclaimer: I own a measly 100 shares of NCL

I like the Bliss better than Prima and for only one reason - venues.  I do love the food options on Prima.  Is there a LEO 3 yet or maybe back to the drawing board regarding venues 🙂

Will be on Bliss in a couple of weeks. We are in Haven, have heard there is no entertainment in Observation Lounge. Correct?

Is there entertainment in other Observation Lounge and if so, is it bands, piano? And what times? Also heard no ice-cream machines in Observation Lounges. BOO!    Thanks for any info.

Yes, entertainment and the Latitude party was there; and such yummy food from 12-5 see below.  The very back of buffet has the 2nd level of the Observation Lounge - and therefore the amazing front windows.  Hope this helps - feel free to ask away. General Ship Tip, grab the first elevator that goes up or down, that will make it stress free 😄

There is entertainment in the Observation Lounges every night. Ice Cream is directly above the observation lounge 1 deck. Or 24/7 at The Local.

Just off Bliss - love the Observation Lounge, and the food from 12-5 YUMM  Does Getaway, Breakaway, Escape have food like that somewhere? 😄

it was pretty full.  I think i saw only 2-3 empty rows ( which some folks claimed as soon as the doors shut).  At least there were no crying kids.  Best part was....I got to see the Northern Lights.

Darn. Yah! and WHOA! That sounds like a wonderful flight ❤️

We flew into Honolulu from SFO 2 days prior to our cruise, good flights, no problems at all.  And that was the first week of March 2020, at the start of covid.  We were on the last POA cruise before everything was canceled.

Which airline to Hawaii? Thank you.

In Feb of this year, we had a cruise from Dubai-Athens, in which we took advantage of the NCL BOGO airfare.  I called NCL and told them I wanted 2 days post/pre-cruise deviation ( you cannot do that online, must call to get the deviation).  Our flight to Dubai was Non-Stop from Los Angles - Dubai ( 15.5 hours) on Emirates Air.  Once I got the ticket info, I went onto the airlines website and paid to upgrade my seats to exit row ( which only had two seats in that row).  Our flight back from Athens, we flew Ageaen Airlines from Athens- London ( 2 hour layover on London), then flew non-stop London-Los Angeles ( Virgin Atlantic).  We had no issues .  Just remember, you MUST call NCL and ask for a two day deviation ( they will also subtract the transportation fee to/from ship).  MAKE SURE to read the airlines luggage allowance fees once you get your tickets.  Aegean Air charges for using the overhead carryon compartment ( Could not even put a small backpack in the overhead, had to go under the seat in front).  Purchase a small handheld luggage scale so you can make sure you are under the check in bag allowance weight  ( and carry on weight allowance).  Since this was the first time using NCL BOGO, I would  do it again for any overseas trip ( the BOGO perk saved me over $2,000).  I don't use it for any cruises in the USA.

How full was your Emirates flight? I had a long flight in economy and I could have 10 rows to myself. Wonder if that is normal, since upstairs pays for the fight 🙂

The $89 tour is much better since it goes to the Engine Control Room and Bridge, and comes with a free photo for you on the bridge.

The free tour is nearly pointless unless you want to see the back of the theatre, the galley, on the laundry room. It's cool to do once, but it looks very similar on all the ships.  The paid tour visits all of these places too.

Do all ships have a bridge viewing room?

The terms and conditions page has been updated to clarify.  It is the same as previous offer.  Triple points only on limited sailings stated finally in the offer.   I don't understand why it took so long to correct.  However I just read it more carefully.   It also shows the March 31st expiration date, so who knows???

This is by clicking on Latitude offers under my profile
