Currently onboard the Eurodam in the Mediterranean and really enjoying it! We were on the Noordam a few years ago - have to say I'm enjoying the Eurodam even more!

Glad you had a nice cruise despite the cold! What were your thoughts on Istanbul? We will be there on the Eurodam next month and I think I remember you posting about it before you left.

The day I spent at a cooking class at Mama Agata's in Ravello was probably the best food experience I've had it Italy. It was an amazing experience!

It will be interesting to see if Koningsdam goes to Istanbul tomorrow and Kusadasi later in the week. Hoping if anyone hears what happens they will post it to this thread.

You could check Tours by Locals (http://www.toursbylocals.com). We will be there in June with Holland America and I just booked a similar tour.

In addition to your list, other things I bring: hand sanitizer, band aids or blister bandages, tide to go stick, and a mini notebook and pen. Probably a lot, but I like to be prepared :)

As it now appears that ports in Turkey are being dropped (terrorism warnings) by HA I am wondering when we can expect to get notice of a revised itinerary with the replacement ports? We are on the Eurodam out of Venice on 6/10 and had two ports in Turkey, Istanbul (main reason we chose this cruises) for an overnight stop and Kusadasi. As we will need to change our shore excursion plans I would like to get notice as soon as possible to make new arrangement in the replacement ports (hope they are interesting ports).

Bill - We are also on this cruise and I have been wondering the same as you. I was just on the app Ship Mate where they list information about cruises and itineraries. For our cruise, it now shows us arriving to Istanbul on day 7 at 7:00 AM and staying there until 4:00 PM. It now shows day 6 as completely a day at sea. Makes me thing HAL has already decided we won't be doing an overnight in Istanbul as originally planned. It is still showing us in Kusadasi on day 9. I'm really curious to know what will happen. I know that Prinsendam is supposed to be in Kusadasi tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see if she still goes as planned.

I contacted HAL by email and got the same response as Chris posted above.

Just saw on another thread that the Prinsendam is no longer going to Istanbul. The other thread didn't say where they were headed instead.

I'm curious about this too as we are on the June 10th Eurodam sailing out of Venice stopping for an overnight in Istanbul. Curious to know when Holland America will make an announcement.

Hi everyone - Is there a basketball court / hoop on the Eurodam? I don't see it on the deck plan. We will be on the Eurodam this summer and my 15 year old brother will be pretty disappointed if there isn't a hoop. He really enjoyed having the hoop on the Noordam on our last cruise. Thank you!

Thanks you for this amazing post! We spent 3 days on the island a few years ago but this summer will be on a cruise and only visiting for a day. I was struggling with how to do it - now I know. Thanks for taking the time to post!
