  1. I though I read somewhere that you are no longer able to bring pop or even a case of water on board anymore? Is that true? I havn't sailed since 2013, but on Carnival's website I thought I read that. Correct me if im wrong:)

    From Carnival's site:

Bringing Liquor and Beverages Onboard - Embarkation

Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard that are packaged in bottles.

A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage. All liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages outside of this exception are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.

    • A $15 USD corkage fee, per 750 ml bottle, will be charged should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, steakhouse or bar. A corkage fee is a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle served that was not bought on the premises.

    Bottled Water

We know some of our guests are accustomed to bringing on their own supply of bottled water so as part of this policy we have reduced the pricing for (purified) bottled water which will be conveniently delivered directly to your stateroom. Once onboard, the purchase is non-refundable; guests may take home any unopened bottles.

    Pricing is as follows:

    • $4.50 USD for a 12-pack of bottled water (16.9 fluid ounce per bottle) for pre-cruise purchase. Please visit The Fun Shops at www.carnival.com/FunShops/in-stateroom-beverages/water to place your order before your cruise to ensure we have an ample supply onboard.
    • $4.50 USD (plus 15% gratuity) for a 12-pack of bottled water (16.9 fluid ounce per bottle) for purchase onboard by contacting Room Service.

  2. Taking a cruise on the Breeze next year and need some feedback on a cabin choice... It'll be my wife and I and we love balconies.

I originally booked a balcony on deck 8, but noticed that a cove balcony came available yesterday and jumped on it. Have been wanting to try out a cove for a while now. The cove we booked is cabin 2381. I know that this is under the galley, but another review said that it's the end of the galley and didn't have any noise issues.

    Here are my two questions...

    1) Has anyone stayed in 2381 on the Breeze? If so, how was your experience.

    2) In YOUR opinion, was it a good move going from Deck 8 to a Cove?

Really appreciate the time and help! Anything else anyone would like to add would be most appreciated!

  3. In my opinion what you want to do is unethical; others will disagree. So I will let them answer.

Thanks, I guess? Not sure how it's unethical... I am asking a question on how to do what Carnival requires in a way that will work for me. Un-ethical would be to just purchase for our room and then share drinks with him OR to just smuggle instead. But ok, thanks for your post. :)

  4. So, I know that all pax in a room must purchase cheers, I get that. Here's my scenario/question...

My wife and I are going on a cruise with our best friends. My buddy and I want to purchase the cheers package; however the wife's probably don't. Here's the question. Is there a way for my buddy and I to be the pax of a room and my wife and his wife to be the pax of another room so only my buddy and I have to purchase the cheers? And then can we switch rooms once onboard?

Does this make any sense at all? Ha! Thanks in advance for your time!

  5. Ok, so not too big of a deal here, just looking for some advice. Wife and I are gonna be on the Triumph here soon and she thinks we are gonna be in an interior room. Unbeknownst to her, I upgraded us to a balcony room on Lido. I'd like for her not to know this until we actually get to the room. What I cant remember is if the check in agents verify your room during check in. We are going out of Galveston.

So does anyone remember if they verify rooms during check in? Thanks!!

  6. Can the pursers desk break large bills? I know we will want a bunch of ones for tipping, but don't really want to carry a lot of them into the ship. Hoping I can take some large bills to purser to break down for me.

  7. Pretty sure Carnival doesn't really care too much about how much a cabin costs... I think I saw on a cruise special that most cruise companies don't make hardly anything on the cost of a fare. Where they make the most money is onboard spending, so I don't really see Carnival handing out freebies without signifcantly raising fare prices.

    No thanks.
