I've never  understood the fascination with bottled water.  Water is water.  The ships water is the same as that in the plastic bottles.

At home I don’t drink bottled water. I have a “Simple Modern” brand insulated and refillable tumbler. And I will be bringing it for drinking water on the ship. But I am not going to bring it off the ship.

I just thought I'd chime in on the "refillable water bottle" subject: I do not own any expensive refillable water bottle. I use empty soda/water bottles and on cruises also the carton my gold status gives me. They are all "refillable". And should I not want to take them back from a tour I can just discard them.

We are gold, tell me about the carton of water you get with gold status please.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but isnt bottle water included in the beverage package?  (asked by someone who hasnt been on NCL in 25 years).   I may have assumed incorrectly as it is with all the other cruises i have done with packages.

No it isn’t and I find that ridiculous. If you have the drink package on Princess or Celebrity water IS included. NCL should take note and also include it

you can spend it on: Specialty Dining onboard, Surf and Turf or Filets nightly in the dining room, photos, spa treatments, excursions, jewelry, items from the shops,  cameras, go pros, binoculars, flowers for your cabin, the difference in higher cost of beverages not in Plus packages… that OBC will be gone before you know it!

Thank you for those suggestions! Appreciate it!

Possibly - but in any case - based on loyalty level.  One can also notice when going to one's cabin, that the display also has the color corresponding to medallion/level.

2 weeks ago our first times was Blue

Interesting, first time I heard this.  I was on the Emerald, Deck 6 Port side dining room.  I had a set time and table.  The hostess was turning away passengers and telling them that she could not help them make reservations. They had to do that on the app.  Lots of very unhappy guests.  She was "full" (with reservations) and could not accommodate walk ins.  Don't know if any other MDR was capable of walk ins.

There better be a Main Dining room capable of walk ins as not everyone makes a nightly reservation. We only make Specialty Dining reservations. Past that we like to walk in when we feel like it.

I booked a last minute cruise. I am stuck in Blue Lane. I think the problem is with the medallion order. I selected a generic medallion and generic lanyard and said that I would pick it up at the pier (no charge). I don't have Plus on this trip (not yet, still undecided but if I get it, it will be on the ship). I will be doing a land trip for a week before the cruise so I don't want it shipped to my house.

I can't get out of Blue Lane. Any tips?

Honestly I don’t see what the problem is. Blue or green, who cares. As long as you are to the port on time you will get on the ship and should have a great vacation

Is anyone else having an issue now with getting their medalions Mailed to them?

We are 22 days out, and you can order Medallions to be mailed up to 13 days out.

    Shipping is Included in ours.

I went to order on the app. It keeps giving me an error, try again later message.

Yet it will easily let me click on Pick up on Pier.🤨

I would rather have them Mailed and Not be in Blue lane.

    Suggestions?

One way or another we will all get on the ships!

Doing the Rome to Barcelona 14 night from 15 Sept.

I am concerned about the new boarding system. As I live in the UK I can't get my medallion posted to me so I will be allocated the Blue Lane. There is also no optional boarding times, you arrive when it suits you.  What happens if 3000 passengers decide to board early, can this new system accommodate this or will it lead to chaos?

    Anyone experienced the new system?

We will be joining the ship on 9/23. Even though we are from the US we too will be in the blue lane as we have to pick up our medallions at the port. I am not too worried about which lane or what time I arrive. I figure the ship won’t leave until we are all aboard!

Since you booked after December 2022, you paid $60/pp pd for the Plus package.

All "New" benefits are included for you.

The only thing that impacts you is that you will only be able to visit Alfredo's twice during your voyage for free.

It sounds like you may not yet see these 'new' benefits on your Travel Summary as Princess has not yet updated it.

Thank you SO much!  I appreciate your answer

  11. I have tried to follow this thread to figure out how or if this change will effect us on our cruise in 54 days. And for this life of me I just can’t figure it out….  Can someone more informed than I help a sister out?

We booked our cruise in January 2023 with Princess Plus and are well past final payment.  Will these changes effect us?

    Thank you in advance

Everyone's name is clearly posted at the door of the cabin, so all you would need to do is go by the cabin, remember a name and number.  This might cause Princess some negative reactions.

Wait! I will be cruising on Princess for the first time in September.  They put your name on the door for everyone to see???

-Passengers...Was told there was about 1300 of 2850, everyone seemed friendly (which isn't always the case), from what was seen, well under a dozen kids and maybe 20 pax below 40 years old

We just disembarked today. Were told there was 900 on your sailing and 2100 on the Thanksgiving sailing. Celebrity extended several employees contracts an extra week to help accommodate the extra guests.  Looking to re-book on a non-holiday week so we too can enjoy the lower number of guests.  Had a great Thanksgiving week aboard the Solstice!
